I am on a boomie:
Click....spell..click click click..spell. Loot lag up to five seconds. Sending mail lag up to five seconds.

Are Oceanic players being sharded to US realms. Is that the cause?
No that is not the cause, that would cause a laggy connection to the server.
What we are experiencing is server lag, nothing to do with our connection, just look at the WinMTR's people are posting, perfect connections to the server with low MS.
It is the servers.
So the lag is back again. It was good for a while today, but at this moment I am in Drustvar, on Alliance, non warmode, and at one point while doing some archaeology, the lag was so long I actually failed to get any fragments on at least one attempt.
08/18/2018 11:14 PMPosted by BalkrinnDo you have war mode switched on by any chance? That seems to be the case for many who are fine
Nope, I didn't today. I did last night, as I mentioned above, to see if it helped (and it fixed everything) but today I was back in normal mode and was able to play normally without server lag for a couple of hours.
Can confirm lag issues still present at 4:55 PM AEST.
Also can confirm War Mode is a non-issue as lag was present with it on and off. Outright random D/C was more prevalent with War Mode off.

Wow, back to 700ms with massive delays and everyone around me just zooming all over the place.
Asia player here on FS OCE. still on US shard, still huge delay.
The only manner I have found to fix the sharding problem is to force my connect to an AUS server using a VPN. I know this is unethical on Blizzard standards, but it fixes the NA sharding. Wont fix the lag but...If you have a VPN on hand maybe try it? Others have tried this and reported same that it fixes it temporarily.

08/18/2018 07:12 PMPosted by BarrettSeems like the battle.net update agent was causing the issue for me.
Make sure you are able to view hidden folders and go to C:\Programdata\battle.net\Agent\data\cache and delete everything in there (make sure battle.net agent is closed at the time) open the agent again and it will give you a message saying it has gone to sleep and is trying to wake it's self up again or something like that but back in game and ms has gone back to normal. hope this helps others.
I actually tried this earlier this afternoon and, to my complete surprise, it seems to have worked. Definitely worth giving a go at the very least.
I'll give the above solution a try and see if this fixes the issue.
EDIT: Did not resolve the lag issue. Is still present and getting worse. Starting to wonder why I'm even still trying to play when it's this bad. Maybe I'll go level an alt.

It says I'm getting 5ms latency but it feels like 150ms
Don't judge by MS. Count the seconds to loot. I was getting 30ms yesterday, but it was taking up to 10 seconds to loot.
Today I've just been farming mounts, avoiding BFA zones. Was fine all day. I just set foot in BFA, hello lag...
Come on blizzard. With what sort of priority are you working on this? It's affecting the OCE region...

Just sent in a ticket to get a refund of my game time. If I could, I would get a refund for BfA in general but apparently being 120 means I've played too much of it already...
Not paying to play on broken servers where an instant-cast spell takes seconds to fire off. If they fix it soon I might come back in a couple of weeks and see if the raid is worth doing, but as of now this game isn't worth the time, money or effort.
If them losing money is what it takes to get the game in a working condition, then so be it.

In-game delays experienced at 9:00PM AEST (Sunday 19th August):
- Latency: 50ms (home/world)
- Does not occur outside of BFA zones
Edit: In-game response times returned to normal at 10:00PM AEST
- Appears consistent with this issue being related to typical peak times for concurrent logins, as most working class players log off a bit earlier on a Sunday night to get a decent night's sleep for the new week.

I am having the same issue, very frustrating now and i have given up and logged off.
30 ms ingame/home but feels more like 700ms.
BFA is unplayable for us on Oceanic with the extent of lag that we are encountering. War Mode off/on made no difference at all.
It is not enjoyable at all, please fix it.

This seems absolutely ridiculous that cloud company the size and maturity of Blizzard cannot diagnose an issue that is literally affecting thousands of customers.
Can we not get a quick update as to progress?

Hi, have been having same issue for the past few days or so.
Khaz'goroth server. My ping stays at 10-13ms both home and world consistently (ie no spikes that I can see at all) however actions will take 2-5 seconds to complete, ie completing quest, clicking on quest item, looting etc. It's a minor aggravation now, but hoping it's sorted before raiding.
Have warmode switched off, made no difference.

Are Oceanic players being sharded to US realms. Is that the cause?
I think it is last night when i'm on Drustvar it laggy like 1000ms but when i grping for elite wq with someone from oc server those lag gone like they never exist
and just hour ago someone from us server said they are lagging when someone on oc server are fine so us sharding to oc will have the same problem
lets be honest.
Do blissard really understand what the issue is? No. Otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation.
Just sit tight and wait for Blissard to fix what they broke.

Been an entire day with no follow up blue response. Remember how the US realms were having problems on launch day and got multiple updates on Twitter? Meanwhile OCE realms are 5 days into constant server lag and have nothing.....
