Just a few quick questions:
- Was the Edge of Oblivion room in Aberrus ever explained?
- Was this a Void/Twilight egg infusion pool?
- What happens to Aberrus now that it’s been cleared lore wise? How do they close these portals?
- Also, what happens if you put a Dragon Egg in a Moonwell?

Joking. I’m not sure to be honest.

The Edge of Oblivion from what I can gather is where the Faceless planned to infuse the Slitherdragons with Void and as for the Pool: probably intended for Eggs as you suggest though I would assume it would be Slitherdragons not Twilight Dragons.
I have no idea if they have any plan to close the Portals into the Void in Aberrus… Since we are resolving the Void in the Midnight Expansion it probably won’t be a problem after that.
The Faceless I would assume built the final rooms… Infact I suspect they built anything requiring Void in the Laboratory include the Shadowflame-based Tech which they applied to Deathwing after they got a version that Black Dragons can survive the application of.
Deathwing was once lucid even with Old God Whispers but became a copy of Fyrakk upon exposure to the Shadowflame-infused Armor that the Faceless created inside Aberrus.
Aberrus was sealed away after Neltharion lost the ability to control the Dracthyr and the Faceless came in later and created the Shadowflame-infused Elementium Armor that drove Deathwing even more insane right after he had perfected the Twilight Dragonflight. After that they created the Slitherdrakes they planned to preform Void-infusion of.
The Faceless of Aberrus have a Legacy of Failure. They even grabbed Lothar’s Sword from the Brotherhood of the Horse(Ashkandur, Fall of the Brotherhood clearly seems to be the Sword of Lothar also known as Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood and Reclaimed Ashkandi, Greatsword of the Brotherhood) to make their fake Neltharion seem legitimate despite the sword being far too young to ever have been used by Neltharion on the Dragon Isles.
Aberrus has become the place where we witnessed the Faceless’s Legacy of Failure.
Neltharion’s Legacy was the Dracthyr, Black, Nether and Twilight Dragonflight not what the Faceless created(I.E. their Shadowflame-infused Elementium Armor, Slitherdragons and the Void-corrupted part of the Laboratory) which as we have seen was a complete failure.
Shall we mock the Faceless as failed successors to Deathwing? They even took over before Cataclysm which shows that Deathwing chose his successors to his research poorly as they couldn’t match up to his Legacy and reduced him to an insane beast.
Their incompetence even bit their Void Lord masters’ ally Fyrakk in the tail as they deprived him of a valuable Djaradin Elder they could have let him have before he even arrived but kept to themselves.

I imagine it was opened up by the Faceless one posing as the Echo of Neltharion. Hoping to lure Sarky, Wrathion and Sabellion to it. Only Sarky took the bait though. Wrathion and Sabellion rejected the temptation without even knowing it. hence why the Faceless One hoped to depose of them and us.
Doubtful it was a void / twilight egg infusion pool. Since no dragon had been inside Aberrus since the Dragon Isles were abandoned. Outside of those Neltharion left its care to. Although it is possible that it might’ve been used by the Faceless One to infuse the Slitherdrakes with the void, until they fled Aberrus.
atm Aberrus is under the control of the redeemed Black Dragonflight. I would imagine they would find a way to close the portal.
