Can we please expand on pet types for hunters please blizzard? At the moment it would be great if we could be able to tame Aberrations and also undead (but undead can be another thread). How to introduce to the game? Well like some of the other types of exclusive pet taming, add a consumable tome that teaches you the secrets of taming aberrations.
Now when I say tame aberrations I don’t mean tamable faceless ones, k’thir, or void walkers, etc. What I’m talking about is the animalistic aberrations like the flesh beasts added in 8.3, or some of the older mobs like the protean horrors in the BC Arcatraz dungeon.
Also last but not least the zoatroids commonly found around Nazjatar and other parts of the game. These little squid creatures are adorable and would make excellent hunter pets as well. Heck naga already tame them. Let us tame them please.
Some examples to give people a visual

I could see them maybe going the avenue of mechanical pets and letting you tame specific abberations with unique pet families.
Yeah… I think that’d be pretty cool, and it’d make me roll a Void Elf Hunter in a heartbeat.

Agreed, my idea was sort of like the seance effigy you craft when you go to tame Gara the spirit Void wolf, we could call it something like Glyph or tome of Seance summoning: allows for the taming of aberration and undead pets (ghosts and other unnatural beasts).
Why not the Void Wolves from the Draenor intro?
I came here to say Hunters won’t ever be happy until they can tame bloody every single thing in the game, but then I saw…
Holy Necro, Batman! This thread is 3 years old!
Oh well, I said what I came to say anyway.

I was questing the Draenor intro and I tried to tame one. Then I saw they were Abberation and I’m like, well damn why not? So I looked to see if there was any plan to incorporate that or a post on it and I saw this one and I’m just like “yeah I want Void Doggos.”
While this probably wasn’t worth necroing an ancient thread for, the void wolf is available as a Spirit Beast, but you gotta work for it. It’s usually a good idea to check petopia before inquiring about a specific look.
You can also un-aberrate a green version in Tanaan as a normal wolf pet.
ICK… They are ugly… I would like illidan’s hounds tho
