This has by far got to be the worst quest out in Mechagon. You shoot down the carriers and things can fall from them. You’re supposed to catch Mechagnomes, but enemies can fall as well. – That’s not my issue. My issue is, when you go to catch a Mechagnome, other people are watching and swooping in and catching YOUR Mechagnome and taking it from you. There’s people all over hovering on the Jetpacks, taking everyone’s gnomes falling in Mechagon right now. This can’t be right.

Some people are literally at 0/6 because right now a group of people are taking their Gnomes.

I had at least 7 or 8 gnomes land on my pillow that I didn’t get credit for, and a couple of times even when I was the only one in the green circle.

I finished the quest, but this was incredibly annoying.

I play a dwarf. Literally anybody but a gnome or goblin can stand over me and grab it, no effort required. Terrible quest design made to artaficially increase playtime.

this is NO fun at all. To sit here for some buggy quest for 45 minutes is stupid. They need to rework the quests in the new areas so you don’t take hours a day to do them. Very very very boring,. I would unsub but am waiting on classic because the new content sucks

I have just shot down 6 in a row, 4 random things that didn’t count, one spider pack, and one stolen. Yes, this is how I define fun. So disappointing. Time to find something else to do.

So I was sitting there one day, thinking “Should I do a daily quest in the new area, or hit my hand with a hammer 50 or 60 times?”

I chose the quest.

Believe me, it hurt more.

Blizzard, do you own a dictionary? If so, please look up the word “fun”. There - you can even see how to spell it. And I want to make sure you know how to spell it because you’ve obviously forgotten what it means or how to design quests that have it as a quality.

Im more annoyed by the forever in combat issue you get after hitting the first box. I have had to leave mech 4 times to drop this combat. I really don’t get how these things were not fixed on the 5months PTR

Blizz REALLY needs to fix this quest so that nobody other than the person who tagged the crate can catch the falling gnome… this quest is getting on my last nerve

I have seen a fair bit of ‘gnomenapping’ and ‘gnome-ninjaing’ I can’t take gnomore..

I canceled my account. The dev team doesn’t seem to put any forethought into the game. I give up.

Yeah… this one sucks. I hope I don’t have to do it to get the wheel mount down the road. But considering how butt it is, I bet I do.

Edit to add: Every time I’ve managed to get under one with no one around to take my gnome I get spiders dumped on me. So fun.

the wheel mount, I’m told, is a drop from one rare (rustfeather) so the dailies in general and this one in particular shouldn’t matter for it.

Someone’s messing with you then. It’s the reward from the achievement Mecha-done. https://www.wowhead.com/achievement=13541/mecha-done Rustfeather does drop the anti-grav pack though, so I farmed it until I got it. Very handy until flying is unlocked.

Edit: Oh, I see it apparently does drop another version of the wheel? Never mind, I guess.

This is the kind of experience that makes me want to log out and do something else. I’m doing the quest correctly, but other people swoop in and get the credit.

As someone mentioned above, it needs to be the person that tags the box. That would keep people from rushing in and taking it. It’s ridiculous the way people are acting.

absolutely this! i lost 3 gnomes on todays quest due to people swooping in to catch the ones i shot down.

It would be simply lovely if the gnomes didn’t fall so far from where you shot them down that you simply can’t reach them without being mounted. Oh wait… shooting them down puts you in combat and you can’t mount. Who thought up this ridiculous excuse of a quest?

In Mechagon? More like in game. Whoever designed this quest should not only be fired, they should be executed.
