So I just realized you need to get Deth’tilac to low health before you tame it but I am level 70 and all my abilities 1 shot it. What can I do to possibly tame it without the help of someone else?
foam sword, unequipping all your gear and giving yourself rez sickness maybe?
Can someone else help and once Deth is low you can tame?
punch it while naked
Are talking about how to tame Deth’tilac, or something you do just for fun?

I know I have used the red rider gun with ammo from same guy in Dalaran toy shop in the past to shoot rares in WOTLK which we tagged only so rest of grp could get there then killed. Should work with no pet and no melee range. I was well over the level for things like TLPD by over 20 lvls.
I think they should scale Deth’tilac to where hunters can meet the mechanic requirements at max level.
Try taking off your gear and weapon and use foam sword.
rez sickness only lasts 60 seconds now though.

I am on my 5th day of attempting to Tame Deth’tilac. On my last attempt with my lvl 70 hunter, I removed all gear except Tabard, Shirt and a low level.
COMPACT SHOTGUN. that gives 1.5 DPS …
Getting Deth’tilac down to low health is not the problem. Auto Shot / Auto attack is faster than I am with removing the gun/ weapon … I have managed to get the tame started but, Deth’tilac’s melee attack is unavoidable if he gets within melee range before the Tame spell/ ability finishes. I know Druids can use Tangling roots, to trap him long enough for the tame to complete. However, every time I am over there, I am the only one there, or there are 6 - 8 others, but no druids. This can be done solo. It is a challenge.

You have to weaken him first you can’t tame him at 100% hp
right, but cant you just weaken him and then ice trap him? I guess I’m confused why a druid is needed
First, get nakey but keep your weapon on.
Second, get your Tar Trap and Concussive Shot ready.
Back up as far away as you can, throw your tar trap directly in front of her and hit her with concussive. MAKE SURE YOU WATCH HER HEALTH WHEN YOU HIT HER. Very very important. I almost killed her because it only took 2 shots of concussive to get her VERY low in health. Hit escape quickly and tame as fast as you can. She will be right on the edge of your tar trap still. I got the tame in right before she got to hit me. If you kill her, don’t get discouraged. She’s not an easy one that’s for sure. Just try again next time and good luck! 
Immune to ice trap, but not tar trap.

If anything mentioned here isn’t working for you, maybe try party sync with a low level?
