i have like 50 characters I don’t really need to see all of them when I go to the “change character” option.
I really only post on 3, the 3 characters I play the most. Is there a way to remove those characters I don’t play and have just the 3
I don’t think there is, but why would you be changing your characters that frequently?

sometimes I need to know something about my class or I’ve come across something in game on that class then I like to post on said class. I play all three quite frequently

I find this childish and if I wanted to troll (not that I do) I have no problem doing it on my main. I never understood why people hide behind their lowbies…

No need to worry about that. People ask questions about alts all the time from their “forum spokesman”. And some times it is not possible. For example if you are asking questions in the “Macros & UI” area about writing Macros or Addons you can’t switch to your “Programmer alt”.
Could make warbands then hide them?

I never post on main because inevitably people will attack some unrelated statistic or worse start harassing you in game.
Trick is to invite them into teamspeak. They don’t monitor whats said.
tbf to OP sometimes if i get logged out for whatever reason, the game signs me into the wrong character when i log back in and that is extremely annoying if you have a lot of characters.
Do t think you can. Curious why you switch between identities though. Like is there utility there for you?
The best part is when you actually do try to change the character, and it doesn’t work unless you log out of your bnet account on the forum completely and log back in
Pretty sure these forums haven’t been updated since like 2016-2017. That’s a premium feature you’re asking for.
I don’t know of a way to change this, but there is a forum for website feedback if you’d like to post the suggestion to add it there.
I all of my characters into warbands so I don’t have to look at so many at one time.
Still waiting for Blizzard to let us add or subtract 1-2 people in a warband and to let us change their order instead of having to rename the different bands.
Just type name-realmname into the search, like it’s just Kennie-mal’ganis for me.
Warband is just the account-wide features and doesn’t really have anything to do with char select.

edit: I FOUND IT OH MY GOD I’VE BEEN PAINSTAKINGLY SORTING HUNDREDS OF CHARACTERS ACROSS THREE ACCOUNTS INTO ALPHABETICAL ORDER FOR AGES. I EVEN NAMED THEM AFTER THE SERVER SO I COULD FIND THEM. WHYYYYYYYYY
Ye, and it uses the standard name-realmname thing as most stuff. You can also filter by just realm, so I punch in “Sargeras” and it’ll show my Sargeras characters.
