Anyone found a way to make edit mode computer specific?
I bounce between my laptop and desktop both with different size screens. I have to change edit mode from “desktop settings” to “laptop settings” every time I swap.
Very frustrating

You could try changing the UI scale maybe on each separate computer, since that’s not stored account wide, but is computer specific.
Non account wide.
UI placement seems to be account bound now. I have to readjust my UI placement swapping from my laptop to my desktop every time I login on each since they are two differant size screens. Going form 34" to 16" is a big difference on UI placement.
I may have to delete my WTF folders on both computers and do a full reset on both the one thing I haven’t tried. I’ll try that tonight when I wake up.
If this is not happening to anyone else who plays on two different computers that may be the issue and what I have to do
It’s not you. It’s still going on lol. Pretty silly you can’t have a way to simply keep the profile for edit mode on a per computer basis.
Will have to just switch it each time I guess lol
Yep only way is to make 2 profiles and swap EVERYTIME on EVERY toon
Someone might have found a way to do it, but when I tried using addon code to automatically switch profiles during login / shortly after login, all I got was taint errors, unfortunately.
Np Im using Bartender. Just waiting on them to fix spell flyouts

Laptop is 16:9, desktop is 21:9… I have a couple layouts saved, but I must select the other layout whenever i use each system.

Regularly switch between laptop and PC and it sucks to have to switch between different layouts. Especially since my heals layout is different from my DPS one!

Completely agree. I also swap between a laptop and desktop and each time have to swap for all my toons.
You can check out DeviceLayoutPreset addon (currently on wowinterface, pending approval on Curse) - it’s a simple addon to save your preferred preset on the device and apply it on login.
This is a strange post, is it that hard to press 3 buttons to switch layouts? I guess so.
Some people play with gamepads or controllers in which case it isn’t as easy as hitting 3 buttons.
So you, what, press start, dpad down a few times to Edit Mode, and then select your layout?
So difficult. Just pure laziness is all.

It’s been since Fall of 2022, Blizz, please get your act together. As an altoholic that bounces between four PCs, this is rage-inducing.
Will give this a try, thank you. We shouldn’t need an addon for this, though. Especially after nearly two years of complaints/requests.
100% agree. After searching far and wide for a solution, I opted for fixing it myself instead of waiting for Blizz to get around to it. Maybe one day, but in the mean time hopefully what I threw together works for folks that need it
