I mean it’s pretty easy to come to that conclusion based on the tone with which they post on the forums.
I don’t recall any SPM member ever carrying on like “We’re gonna hunt you down and graveyard farm you because of how you backstabbed us!”.

Ah so generalizing an entire group because someone said something heated, that’s a great way to really make your point validating.
I would take in the consideration the diversity of how many members are in said group and realize that a lot of other groups with members out there have much the same attitudes with different contexts. Some can even be seeing here throughout the battleground forums with the way they speak of BSG. So try to be more fair about it when many of us are here for fun and care little about the petty squabbles and peacocking.

Guys guys guys. As someone here who is completely level headed and does not have an invested interest in this thread whatsoever, I recommend we all take a second to step back and instead of looking at our differences, we look at what we have in common. Warcraft.
If I met one of you on the streets and you said you played Warcraft, I would say, “would you like to grab a drink and talk strat?”
Does this mean nothing? Also, can someone please upvote this? I figured most people who don’t care stop after a sentence but if you cared enough to read this, then maybe, just maybe, you would upvote this to make it look like I said something profound.

Cherrypicking the words doesnt change the meaning behind them. Of course there is more than one, and many across all communities. That doesnt make me come to the conclusion that everyone in those communities are that way. There are people that act like that in all aspects of the game. Generalizing an entire community because of them is still wrong and very unbecoming. And just because you dont recall someone from SPM doing it, doesnt mean it hasnt happened, also doesnt mean it has. They have the new report system for a reason. If theyve violated the contract, report em. But dont use the distain for a person or people, to generalize a group who are here to pvp and have fun. Cause i can gaurentee that majority of the members in the community dont know about these schoolyard agressions, and are just looking to play with a well coordinated team to assure more victories. Much better then having 30 people ignoring objectives and standing on noobhill.

Cool essay, I read one sentence. Of course in communities of hundreds of players we are talking about a subset of them. We don’t need a patronising essay telling us of that. But there sure is a problem of the more vocal members of this particular community being a lot more venomous on the forums on average compared to members of other communities.

Most players don’t bother with the forums though, so a lot of that crap goes unnoticed.
Really is amazing how some people take epics so seriously. Like just chill and enjoy.
