A Void Class

So there should be a class devoted to the void. I know priest has the shadow priest. But it just doesnt feel like we’ve opened the can of what the void can do. Ethereals for instance can do a bunch of phasing stuff that could be a cool melee class. We could do a caster that isnt tied to the preist class. Just off the top of my head there’s so many ideas and I feel it would be so cool to play.

Some claim Rogues use darkness or void magic but I still don’t see that… still if that kinda thing got added it may be a Midnight thing as it’d fit the idk…dark theme I think they may try for that expansion. Long as it’s not elf heavy as I’m sick of elf heavy content after they forced NE stuff down our throats for three expansions

We already have 3 classes that use shadow magic. We don’t need another super edgelord class.

According to one of the saurfang cinematics they do canonically turn invisible, so there is some kind of magic at play.

Wholeheartedly. Egg is going to be on the faces of every Paladin when we find out the Titans are the big bads of WoW.

I mean, I maintain that the players are the bad guys. I’ve killed millions of people over the last twenty years. There’s no way we’re the good guys. May as well get cool void crap for all the work.

more of a shadow magic than void but yeah i could see a little magic use but it’s not their entire kit

Rogues are described as using a dab of mysticism magic to cloak and among other things.

They arent a class they doesnt use magic at all.

Hunters use magic too, did you know there is a lore reason they dont need to carry arrows anymore like in the past?

We have a class that only uses light magic, why not void only?

If there were to be one, I’d probably sum it up like this:

  • Shadowknight - A void-based tank

  • Shadowblade - a rogue/DH like melee that utilizes the void

  • Shadow Inquisitor - Casting class, pick DPS or heal, it could go either way.

Shadow Priests ARE crazy. One of their class resources is Insanity…Never turn your back on a shadow priest!

Rogues only use shadow magic, so we already have that.

Not quite true, they use a dab of mysticism but its extemely low bar.

Then its just stab,shoot or poison. Its a very minimalistic class.

I see what your talking about with rogues but its really pushing it. The only spell that I see it using the void is shadowdance. But it doesnt hit the feel of the void for me.

In my mine the Ethereals are the biproduct of becoming void.
