It seems more likely that if the data showed strong support for Blizzard’s decision they would release it. They expressed surprise at how much pushback they got from classic players suggesting that any data they had might not have been terribly accurate.
I agree I just think they’re misguided. On more than one occasion they’ve made controversial decisions that they stated were best for the game and had to backtrack on those decisions because enough players disagreed and quit.
If Blizzard could identify what actual toxicity is I would be absolutely gob-smacked.
The problem is that Blizzard calls it Wrath Classic and has inspired in some of the player-base some ephemeral and ill-defined “Spirit of Classic”.
I wish that this were not true but I cannot find any concrete evidence to refute it.
You’ve described people on both sides of this issue. Maybe we just shouldn’t let you decide who should or should not play this game.
Um, no. It’s a thing out in the real world as well.
This sums up my expectations very well.
So what benefits do you believe existed in the game before RDF was implemented? I am curious.
