So why… Why were we not allowed a choice? Do not get me wrong. I am so happy with how you guys did the customization options. You did great! BUT… Why could I not choose to be any race? Why was I forced to be yet another elf race?

Also, I am really looking forward to ALL races getting the same level of customization options that the Dracthyr have.

iirc, it’s explain in the same questline you quoted from by another npc that the dracthyr are different, and ebyssian was speaking explicitly for other dragons, not the dracthyr

What amuses me most is that the quest ACTUALLY says: “You will choose a form to BLEND IN.” cue human female in Orgrimmar and Blood Elf male in Stormwind

Cheap indie company.

Glad I’m not alone on this thought, I mean it really is like a middle finger that hey Ebonhorn says it’s our choice and how we picture ourselves but we’re forced to either be another elf boy or a god awful human. I’d rather be anything but an elf or human… I mean say what they will but I’d jump at the chance to make the visage a panda or a vulpera or tauren or for some reason a worgen who never goes human and still gets to be a proud member of the horde.

Honestly this kind of surprised me. I would’ve 100% thought Blizz would take the lazy route and just let us make any already existing playable race. But they put a lot of effort and time into making their trash.

Color me impressed.

I thought that too when I got to that part. It would have been nice to be able to choose any race for the visage form.

The sad thing is that I would have gladly given up every visage form customization if it meant Blizz just put in the standard options of all the other races.

Well you see, Dracthyr have to be special so their visage form has to look similar but different, it can’t just be a copy/paste of the existing races. Meaning for more options they’d have to devote more development time creating more models for each race, and that’s just too much work. Or it’ll cost a raid tier

Or something along those lines idk, I’m just having fun being a flappy lizard-elf-human

wasnt there also a part in the quest dialog immediately after that asks why your visage took that particular form?
I’m guessing there’s a reason maybe we will find out…
but i would love to be able to choose.

They could probably have let you choose, but you’d have many less customization options
