A Third Year for Dragonflight?

I am all for having an expansion in 2025 instead of next year. Dragonflight has been a hit. Maybe not the subscription wise, but the game itself and retention of subscribers have been favorable. Too much high fantasy stories left. I would hate this expansion being rushed to the end. It has been a welcome change in pace and style. Plus, most of the people I have spoken in person or cyberspace, are in agreement: the expansion should lst another year or at least past the 2-year cutoff. What do you think?

I think blizzard has made it a point to put out new expansions every 2 years for a reason. I mean theres already lulls in every patch. What would we do with an extra year??

I mean im all for waiti f the extra year to increase the quality of the next expansion, but i dont think Blizzard will because the horde of players that would lose their minds would be insane

10.0 had some high points, but lots of it felt rather mediocre.
10.1 is just flat out the worst state ive ever seen the game in.

Plus im kind of bored of dragons now.

Personally i would like to see them try something new and fun.
I dont think i could sit through 2 more years of dragonflight.

OP means to add patches to this current expansion, not let it rot for an extra year.

Correct. Additions of patches while they work on the new expansion. I see this as feasible.

Those extra patches would just be the beginning of the next expansion. Hate to say it, but theyre done working on DF (for the most part) and already working on the next story line.

Focusing on one will take away from the other. Im not saying it cant be done, its just not how its done any more

I don’t think WoW is strong enough anymore to withstand those kinds of risks. I think to delay the next expansion by an entire year would be a really bad business move.

I’d rather we never do the obvious incoming “EvEN bIgGer ThrEaT!1!1!” void expansion period…

Someone made another thread suggesting a pirate expansion, make your ship your home, boat battles all that stuff is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better of an idea than slapping a bunch of voidwalkers for 3 years while the newest angry stump boss hides in a corner being all… wooden… and angry… for whatever reason that will never be explained.

TLDR: yes keep dragonflight till a better lore direction is found. or take the shortcut and just fire the flunkie writers

Please please please I need to see more. Let us linger a bit. At least 4 more patches if they’ve got the story for it

Ummm, my sub retention is due to Classic. And based on my observations of retail Shu vs Classic Antish, Classic is hands down more populated.

But we will never know officially, unless Blizzard tells us.

DF is fine

but the story feels too safe, it’s very predictable. I think they could be planning some twist towards the end, but the story so far has been very basic. Not insultingly boring, just not evocative either.

It is still a huge step up from shadowlands.

While I loath the idea of a void themed expansion, the idea of a pirates on the high seas expansion seems even less appealing. But with the corner they have written themselves in to it really doesn’t leave a lot of options without more massive retcons.

I feel that a QoL patch / filler expansion is what this game truly needs.

Account wide rep, connected AH´s for more than just reagents, easier access to farming transmog gear like a portal room to legacy dungeons / raids.

Our Guild bank should work like our own, so that we can access stored reagents while crafting. A second reagent tab would be great as well and the crafts where reagents no longer drop, should be given a new source like during timewalking or a specific Chromie event, that let´s us go back in time.

But also the achievement points need to have a use, why do we collect them at all?

Pfft. Its gonna be the WoW and SC crossover expansion we need. Void Lords are just Protoss Archons

I would not mind having maybe another half year of DF. Even as we chat about this, there is an expansion coming before the impending MS takeover. So, they want to rush an expansion before the sale goes final. But DF has been mostly fun. But please, give some emotion to the voice actors, not choppy acting.

I like a lot of the system changes in DF a lot. There is lot of good here. Especially with gearing, professions, dragon flying itself and many other things I really enjoy.

However the story/characters are lame and the zones suck.

I’m enjoying DF. It has a lot more to go. At least 2 1/2 years would be nice.

I’d be okay with this especially if it meant the next expansion would benefit from another year of development time.

It’s crazy how Blizzard managed to make dragons, of all things, lame and boring.
