Can we please have a third troll? Maybe green? With an Irish accent? Likes to wear hats, and is a snappy dresser? Tired of all this Jamaican bacon business. Time to branch out. I’ll take ice trolls like that too, maybe, with a more danish leaning accent, you know… I’m FLEXIBLE.
Just IMO would be cool to have a different sounding culture of trolls that live somewhere out there. Reason being is that trolls possibly have even more racial diversity amongst themselves than elves do, since they’ve been on the planet the longest. They probably invented decent naval technology before other races did. So they’re literally everywhere. They can go anywhere. And if Tauren and Yaungol can drastically branch out from each others cultures in what, half the time trolls have existed? I think trolls can too.
We’ve already seen this to some degree with the way darkspear and zandalari were eventually depicted as distinct from each other in world of warcraft over the years, with both of their aesthetic evolution finally culminating to a head in BFA. But I think it would be really interesting to go further than that and have a more euro region inspired troll culture, to reference their origins in european mythology. Also, this troll culture could maybe form a visual living evolutionary/geographical link between more ancient troll cultures, and elves who are heavily inspired by european styles despite some of the korean and japanese or arabic elements they share them with.
TLDR Synopsis; I just think if there’s 4 playable elves, then we can maybe afford to have a third troll. Like come on. And if we’re to have a third troll, maybe we can have more of a vast cultural distinction from the other trolls. European troll!

Norse viking Troll makes the most sense, as Norse mythology is the grandfather of Trolls and their lore IRL.

Yeah, totally. Definitely down. I really don’t care which. Irish Troll. Norse Troll. Italian Troll. Spanish troll. Portuguese trolls? Other euro cultures with a history of african cultures intermixing? I’m down. Whatever. I’m easy. I just don’t wanna always be a jamaican or a wakandan troll, you know. I think only one we have seen so far that remotely comes close is drakkari. Some of the designs are eerily similar to some found in europe. You know, I say that as a standalone fact that they are there within the past couple thousand years of our history in which troll myths were passed around campfires in that area, regardless of the numerous archeological/anthropological theories out there that believe they actually are related.

Some customization ideas: braided and wild flowing hair styles, Norse rune tattoos, 2% ice magic resistance and herbing buff as racial traits, white to black and various other known Norwegian skin tones, etc. Accent: Scandinavian.

lol Noooo. I mean trolls that actually matter! Yeah I’d be cool with any of those. Ice Trolls, whatever. Just maybe redefined/reworked to have more european qualities. Namely of which, a different european leaning accent. Could have island or african qualities in the accent too, idc. Blizzard’s wow accents are usually a weird fusion/fail of several different accents rolled into one anyway.
Wait, only two a week!? I must be reading THAT wrong. I’d say at least 25 trolls make posts every week.

I would love that. I think human/kul tiran players would complain if they weren’t given vrykul options before a troll came out with Scandinavian accents, tattoos, and hair styles? But personally, I say let them cry. There’s already humans, which are tiny giant people. And kul tirans, which are larger tiny giant people, that essentially fill the RPG game trope of the playable half-giant race. Just give both of those races some vrykul themed stuff, good to go. No more vrykul whining, and we get our proper redesigned ice trolls. Win win.
Ion would probably say some dumb nonsense like that costing us a raid tier, or something that would have to happen over the course of 20 years of expansions but I mean. Hey, you know. There are sooooo many trolls out there. We cannot have twice the amount of playable trolls in playable elves without another troll. But why make another african troll. We already have 2 great ones with african flavors. Those african flavors can even still exist with a european troll subculture. Nothing says it wouldn’t anyway if they were to do something like this.
Maybe there’s another northrend out there where they hang out on lol, idk. A southrend!
