Greetings! I am Jeremy, guardian of the good people of <There and Back Again> and we are looking for other like-minded, friendly folk to share in the adventures that we are arranging. We are a social raiding guild with both PvE and PvP teams. People from all walks of life are encouraged to join so long as they treat everyone with respect, both inside and outside of the guild.
We are more Tookish than most hobbits, but hobbits we remain and as such we are more interested in seeking out good friends and reliable companions than fame, fortune, or gold. Indeed, friendship is the one common goal that unites the members of <There and Back Again>. That is why all prospective members must recognize the fact that behind every avatar, both inside and outside of the guild, is a real person deserving of respect and kindness. Every new person is a potential friend in the making! We consider our friendships to be the true source of our strength and we are already quite strong. With your help, we will only grow stronger!
We do not need to actively recruit for our raids, but we are always recruiting friends.
Everyone should enjoy their time playing World of Warcraft which is why the Golden Rule is the law of the land of <There and Back Again>. Overly lewd, crude, or rude behavior will be removed from the guild because we want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable spending time with us. We take pride in eschewing drama from amongst ourselves, just as we endeavor to prevent problems outside of the guild as well. To that end, everyone from fresh recruits to myself especially must have the strength of will that Galadriel showed when she refused the Ring from Frodo. For lust after loot is the root of most drama just as Gollum’s greed for the golden One Ring was the root of his own betrayal. Members must always value people above in-game items.
Our guild’s motto, “One for all, all for one,” has been adopted courtesy of another great writer, Dumas because we are eager to be greater than the sum of our parts. Only by embracing that mindset can we achieve the goals we all set out to accomplish. Positivity, therefore, is a must because the game itself can be quite frustrating at times and a good positive outlook can make all the difference when faced with an obstacle. Members are expected to help one another when available to do so because cooperation is how friendships are formed.
Casual and hardcore players alike are both welcome within the ranks of <There and Back Again> so long as they are of strong character and do not go afk from the game for longer than a week without notice. An active guild is more fun for everyone. That being said, real life should always come first. When playing the game itself, hardcore guildies know that not everyone can put as much thought, time, and dedication into the world of Azeroth as they do. Likewise, casual guildies understand that, given the time constraints of the game, it is polite to play one’s best when grouping with others so as to not frustrate the rest of the party.
Two alts are allowed per guildie, after that, all other alts are encouraged to join our sister guild.
If, after you’ve read this little book of my own, you are still interested in joining our fellowship, you can simply contact anyone in the guild and we will make arrangements to see if you are a good fit for us. We only ask that you be level 20 or higher to join.
We are 10/10 MC and 1/1 Ony.
