Would be cool to have an option to pick a talent node that makes your consecrate move with you.
I can hear the theorycrafting community asking if aura of piss is a dps increase already.
Call it consecrated presence
I’d rather they remove consecrate as a rotational spell/mitigation tool and take inspiration on Shadowlands Ashen Hallow to create a massive CD.
It’s not particularly useful on Ret, nor on holy and in fact they both have ways to just cast it automatically with other spells/effect instead of hard casting it.
It’s an iconic ability yet it is cheap in both effect and gameplay.
If it was a 4min CD large ground AoE, at least they could make it pack a punch and be impactful.
Obviously I’d like it to be an option for all 3 spec, it would probably have to be in the class tree and they would have to rework the pathing so that we don’t have access to all 3 capstones.
Idk, food for thoughts…
Yes. If warriors can have 15% damage mitigation from just defensive stance we should have something similar. Just give is a buff for 12% so it adds up to 15% with devotion aura.
They can keep consecration just for damage/healing.
I was actually thinking the other day how cool it would be to have a talent or maybe future hero spec that turned your consecration into a ranged ground targeted ability similar to resto Druid efflo but a juiced up version.
I actually agree with this, but since consecrate is such an iconic paladin spell, I don’t see them removing it. I just hate having to constantly keep uptime on it and being forced to stand on it and making sure the enemy is also standing on it to get the effects from it. It’s just annoying to have to deal with it constantly.
Of course, that’s why I’m going with the idea of shifting its purpose into a big and long CD ability instead of being rotational.
you know you do 10% less damage with it right? and considering how much apm warrior is, that is a huge dps loss
Ehh half true, protection warrior doesn’t have the reduced damage in defensive stance penalty anymore, but other warrior specs do have the penalty for defensive stance.
What Praised said.
We had something like that in legion it was called Concrcrated Hammer where you was always under Consecration and it was great
I like consecration.
You still used it for threat and dmg but you didnt have to worry about flopping like a fish if you had to leave it
I had the idea that you pulse out a consecration every second, that remains for 2 seconds, which would give the ability a huge buff to mobility, and more damage to an extremely weak ability.
