After defeating the last boss for this worldquest and going behind the house to get the key from Penkle, we cannot open the cage to get our pet, Dal.
Yup. Same for me. I tried everything I could think of to loot the cage. Nothing worked.

It’s up again and while we still have the key from last time, the cage still will not open. What gives?!
12/23 I thought there was just a round of bug fixes so check this quest again. Still had the key from last week, didn’t work initially. Did the quest line again. Still no go. Deleted last week’s key, rekllled last boss, got new key, still didn’t work. Code tags are missing or something, key not recognizing cage or vise versa.

I can confirm this is still bugged. Like others, I tried the first time I saw the WQ a couple of weeks ago. I tried with 2 characters and neither worked. Kept the key and tried again this new WQ round. Then deleted the key, redid the quest and it still doesn’t work. There was a hunter next to me that also could not get it to open.
Still bugged for me too. I deleted the cage key I had, did the world quest again, got a new cage key… and I’m always “out of range” no matter where I stand to unlock the cage. Would love to see this finally fixed or the pet just mailed to us.
Still frustrated this is broken. I’ve done this World Quest every time it has popped up, and I still cannot rescue Dal.

Ok, fourth time I’ve done this WQ and failed to get the cage to open. Shard hopping did nothing and I’m not keen on spending hours joining random Revendreth groups until I find a shard where the cage opens.
Can we just get the pet off of Edgar the Collector instead? Please?

I was able to up the two cages in front of the building but not the one behind it.

Still no luck after trying again…tried changing toons, realms…no luck. Key still not working.
having the same issue, i killed the collector and talked to penkle, nothing. logged out and back in, did it again then got key. still says out of range when i try to click the cage…

Yeah they fixed it last week, said so via patch note, just got mine too!
