I swear I am so sick of these kinds of quests. The kind you go to and they don’t say anything about what you’re supposed to do. It’s not remotely fun, it frustrating as can be, because you now I have to look up a quest on Wowhead that should have been explained in the game.
Nothing in Shadowlands has gotten under my skin like these kinds of quests. I really want to shout some profanity about it, but that’s not going to help.
You…just look at what each stewards have and what each Kyrian needs? I mean, thirsty guy gets juice, bored guy who wants to read gets scroll, etc.

It is explained in game, take a closer look at what they are carrying in their hand and match it to the task. Theres another hint as well but I forget what it is.

Don’t do them. Problem solved.
It’s a puzzle. It requires thought and observation.

Had to check which one this is - I actually friggin’ love this quest.
Huh, this lazy Kyrian says he’s really thirsty, and there’s a bunch of drinks around, but lemme enable his laziness. Which Swolekin will be of help? Surely the one with the hammer.

The world quest tells you you have to find a steward to help with each persons needs.
There’s a steward holding an empty trays that says they can catch/carry. And there’s a guy dropping stuff.
A steward with a tray of snacks saying they have snacks, and a kyrian who says they’re hungry.
Just read the text boxes.

It’s about the only way I get a thug-owl buddy to mess around with even if it’s only for a moment.

Is that the junk quest that makes you do chores n crap? Like actual chores in Bastion, or the one in Revendreth that you serve drinks and food to party goers?
Imagine the game not holding your hand for 5 sec and having to use common sense for once. The horror.

Right, of all the quests to use as an example of this issue, this might be the worst.

They actually made it pretty obvious what you need to do and which Steward can do it.

Definitely. I mean there are some terrible WQs this expansion. Like the on in Revendreth where they literally troll you by adding a item that has nothing to due with the objective. But this quest was actually well made.

Am I the only one that would be slightly pleased if then that one would go around smashing full glasses with his hammer?
Back to repro… training with you!
I mean, if they are going to go with the entire “meaningful choices” motif, I feel as if this is what should happen should you make a mistake.

Stewards uprising! Overthrow the Kyrian tyrants!

There was one like that in Vol’dun in BFA. It was faster to just kill the enemies without the item then to use the item, which is the ‘intended’ way.
It’s not really a difficult quest… But it kinda seems like a waste of the mall walkers ability.
…are the kyrian too lazy to walk 40 yards themselves to get a drink?
As a Mall Walker, I would think that’s what the tennis shoes are built for! Cream with that? ~.^

There is a huge difference between hand holding and wasting someone’s time. This is just one of the many. Or more so, the straw that broke the camels back.
The issue is there is basically no information on these kinds of quest. As little as “Find the Aspirants that need help” would have sufficed. I was watching a stream back in the first week of SL in which Psybearslat was trying to get a quest done. The quest was vague and but still had more information than this kind. He had to find 4 gems in a marked area. Well after he spent nearly 30-40 min trying to find the 4th gem he finally looked it up and what do you know the 4th gems was under a rug, and there were no sparkles on the gem. That’s not a puzzle, that’s called wasting someone’s time.
Even the old school Nintendo games like Zelda gave more information than these kind of quest. There is a difference between a puzzle quest, wasting someone’s time, and holding someone’s hand. “Find 5 boar meat” is a puzzle quest, especially when there are more than one kind of boar, and it only drops off one. “Find 5 meat” when you need a specific kind is wasting someone’s time. Putting sparkles on every quest item, marking exactly on your map, and marking every mob you need to kill is holding someone’s hand. At least in Vanilla they told you what kind of meat you needed.
At first I thought I was suppose to give the scroll to the stewards organizing the scrolls, and couldn’t figure out why nothing I clicked on did anything. But no, you have to find a specific Aspirant, a “Board Aspirant”, which there was no indication of. That is wasting someone’s time.
It literally takes five minutes and basic critical thinking.
Steward carrying drinks is for the thirsty person
Steward carrying food is for the hungry person
Steward carrying hammer is for the broken robot
Steward carrying scroll is for the bored person (who says, "wish I had something to read)
Steward carrying the empty platter is for the stacked stewards
Steward carrying the broom is for the spilled water
Not even remotely hard to figure out.
