Warmode. Sounds great on paper right?
Doesn’t play out so well in the world with a faction imbalance.
A buff or incentive does nothing but bring out more meatshields that otherwise wouldn’t even turn it.
Causing another faction imbalance.
That’s not organic wpvp.
That’s forcing wpvp. So we have FP’s and WQ’s camped. Lol.
People want to fight. That is the main goal of wpvp. Right?
In the open world make everyone outside of party/guild attackable that is flagged in Warmode regardless of faction.
People want to PvP well you now have a lot if choices in the world.
Remove the carrot. There should be no incentive to flag up. Other than looking for a fight.
All that incentive does is bring out extra meatshields and lambs to slaughter.
They didn’t want to pvp. They only turned it on for the buff.
Even I’m leveling an ally toon atm for that 30% Xp. (Convinced myself its for RP and the carrot is too sweet lol)
You can get like 90% with looms and that xp pot.
Wait until DMF. LOL
Tldr: Make everyone in Warmode attackable regardless of faction and remove the carrot.
You will only get pvpers flagged.
Faction balance won’t matter.
Targets everywhere.
Cheers,
Padre

Warmode is currently the Alliance and Horde vs the Blizzard Servers. And the servers are winning by a long shot. Once they see more than 15 people fighting in one area they lag so bad nobody wants to fight anymore.

We’re you talking about faction imbalance anytime before 3 weeks ago?

Yea. When I realized roflpwning fp’s really wasn’t much sport.
For some reason I doubt it. All they got now is " Blizz had to bribe them to kick our butts"

Yes. Glad Mankrikito is friend to Padre.
Bribe isn’t the wrong word.
How many would have warmode turned on if there was no incentive for either side?
Only those looking for a fight.
Which with equal or no incentive the alliance is out numbered.
If they make everyone attackable though and remove the buff.
You only have those who are looking for a fight flagged.
The alliance is outnumbered either way. Also anyone that has warmode on that doesnt want to pvp is an idiot.
Well with everyone attackable we won’t have to worry about faction imbalances.
Not sure idiot is the right word there because they are enjoying the benefits of the incentive.
Which is the only reason they have it on.
Now back when we had actual pvp servers and you couldn’t just unflag at an Inn.
Those people who rolled pvp servers with no intentions of pvpin and cried about it.
Yea. Those people had some issues.
Idiot is totally the right word for anyone who turns on warmode thinking theyre never gonna get ganked.

IIRC, there were plenty of tears on the forums when they tried ffa style PvP on the Timeless Isle in MoP.
Well now see you said anyone who doesn’t want to pvp.
That’s a bit different than being flagged up to reap the benefits of a buff.
The begining of the expansion seemed awesome.
I grouped with different people at different times.
Had a bunch of small skirmishes while leveling.
That quickly evolved into 40 man death squads camping FP’s. Lol
Honestly though now that you mention it I’m surprised people aren’t asking for the buff outside Warmode. Lol
War mode is really a silly idea. What they SHOULD do is just make special servers where players are flagged by default. Then everyone who is looking for PVP can just roll on those servers and play together.
Yes back when we had pvp servers full of people who had no intentions of wpvp.
This is different.
This is completely player choice to flag up or not flag up.
Yes. The intended use of the old pvp servers.
Which also seemed to attract raiders.
Which also attracted people who came to pvp servers only to pve and not pvp.
Hence. A lot of crying by people who had no intentions of pvp.
They just wanted to reap the benefits of being on a huge pop server.
