Now as SoM is drawing to its end, we once again have the problems with transfer, merge or not being rehashed.
I think I have the solution to all this.

of course give free transfer from SoM to more than one realm per realm-type. Some people already have 10 characters on the taget realm.
Instead of a server merge or worse a ‘consolidation’ like the one we had in Wrath C. I have a suggestion:
The TAB & Connect solution
It is less invasive, easier to understand, giving no naming chaos, or disappearing characters, and leaves us free to have more than 10 character on any given realm type.
Now in the Realm selection screen we have these tabs below: Seasonal, Russian, Classic Era.
I suggest these tabs:
- Seasonal,
- Russian,
- Classic Era PvP,
- Classic Era PvE,
- Classic Era RP.
In this way all PvP can co-exist and can be connected to one another, same for PvE and other language servers, but we avoid the naming, moving, level-losing etc hyper-mess of the consolidation.
The Role-Playing realms should NOT be merged or connected, but be placed in the RP tab.
