A slew of new Awakened Event Bugs

Hello, as of weekly reset today I have observed the following bugs:

  • 480 gear from last week (soup, hunt, etc) is no longer eligible for the revival catalyst. Also if the awakened tier bonuses are not compatible with non-awakened tier bonuses then why does non-awakened 480+ gear still cost me a charge? Isn’t the charge supposed to be for awakened only?
  • World Boss Zaqali Elders sometimes doesn’t drop Awakened Cache.
  • Researchers Under Fire awakened event sometimes disappears completely unable to complete for everyone present. Phasing/sharding realm issue?
  • Time Rift (awakened) only rewards an awakened cache from the “When Time Needs Mending” weekly quest reward “Contained Paracausality” which still seems to be limited to one character per account so you can’t do this on your alts. Devs have forgotten to lift the restriction on only receiving this quest on one character?

We appreciate your efforts with alpha testing!

Let’s discuss my experiences playing WoW today as someone who runs a lot of alts!

– Time Rift first! Go in and clear it. Discover the Cache is ONCE per ACCOUNT per WEEK. Awesome job there, thanks for that.
– Suffusion Camp is up next. No issues there. Got my cache.
– Let’s do Awakened world boss Zaquali Elders! Oh look, no cache no credit for the kill and it isn’t even showing as Awakened on the world map. Fail.
– Finish up with Researchers. Wait 15 mins. Event does not spawn. Timer resets to 30 mins. Amazing game, 10/10. I really feel like you value my time and money.

This game has some real potential once we can get out of Alpha and start actually, you know, respecting player’s time like you “said” you were going to. Does anyone test this stuff before releasing it?

Same on all counts! I think we continue to collectively communicate all of this in a concise way, we’ll get their attention. Also I recommend filing a ticket with this info too as an extra layer of diligence.

Bumping this in activity so it maybe hopefully will but probably won’t be seen o/

I felt there would be significantly less loot available this week and that’s before mentioning the gold reduction that already went live on all awakened activities.

Also The Researchers under fire quest is rewarding 250 ilvl gear upon completion to many people which I’m sure will go unmentioned in notes and definitely not corrected for those set back.

Little did I know one part of it would even be tied to a weekly quest… Oof

I would be taking a look at all S3 Awakened content in how it will reward players right now if I was Blizz and set back our server reset if it means things can be working when it goes live.

Yes thank you!! I forgot to mention the 250 gear from the Researchers Under Fire reward here but I do have that in my ticket! So basically when it’s phasing out and bugged, completing the event gives low item level gear from the initial container but the Awakened cache seems to be the correct item level.

Same experience here. This week has been so much more bugged than last week, idk what they did, but it’s bad. I hope they fix it before the week is out, I would love to do the Zaqali Elders and Time Rifts on my characters.

They were quick to fix the mount being missing from the Trading Post, but they really don’t seem to care about this issue.

I’m also guessing Loamm weekly is supposed to give a cache too since last week you got it from dreamsurge but we don’t really know

Wait, Dreamsurge gave a cache!? I didn’t even know that. They didn’t do a very good job conveying that. They don’t seem to be doing that this week either, NONE of the world events are glowing blue like the ones last week were to signify they are awakened.

I didn’t get a cache from dreamsurge last week on my main or any of my alts but I think that’s intended so I just wanted to share since yall mentioned it. Also, yall should check out the hotfix from tonight it fixed a lot of things but there’s still a few remaining bugs like we can only get awakened cache from Time Rift on 1 character and revival catalyst is still consuming charges for non-awakened gear when it should only be for awakened gear.

I’m looking on WoW head and I’m like, why is the mount being missing from the TP such a big deal when people LITERALLY can’t even do a world quest or event to gear their characters which is the whole point of this season!? I don’t get it, and I’m looking at the hotfix notes the posted on there and there is NOTHING about the Zaqali Elders or the Time Rifts whatsoever.

the most recent patch notes from tonight mention the elders WB fix and I can confirm it’s MOSTLY fixed but the phasing is still a bit wonky sometimes. Research Under Fire seems to be mostly fixed too with phasing but it still drops 250 gear.

Yeah, I just did the Zaqali Elders and it worked. But still, it shouldn’t have been bugged this long.

In addition to all of this, the weekly buff that adds 50% rep to Wrathion, Sabellion, Loamm, and Soridormi only seems to apply to outdoor zones in the Dragon Isles and is removed everywhere else, so as soon as you enter an instance such as Dawn of the Infinite or the Boss portal in Time Rifts (both being primary sources of rep for Soridormi) the buff is removed and you only get the normal amounts of rep.

So yeah, that’s a thing. Always nice to have a rep buff that doesn’t apply to the main sources of rep for a faction…

Hi, all - looks like they’ve fixed Time Rifts to reward the cache from the boss instead of the quest! Now we just need two more fixes 1. ilvl 250 gear from Researchers 2. non-awakened gear should not cost catalyst charges

This entire patch as consisted of sitting around and waiting for a spawn/event only to have it bug out on you.
If this was any other game, I would have uninstalled it already.
This is embarrassing, Blizzard. Was QA on vacation the past, I dunno, 2 years?
Yes, I am annoyed and frustrated.

It is definitely frustrating I agree. I will say though they really have been working quickly to fix a lot of this given the sheer volume of bugs I’m genuinely surprised how quick they’ve been. Though the communication has not been great. Most of this stuff is not even acknowledged in blue posts and sometimes they don’t even tell anybody when a fix is shipped.

having this many bugs when there was a PTR where bugs were already reported isn’t a good thing

can’t argue that point! especially given that some of the bugs are literally bugs that were never fixed from back in the Aberrus patch.
