I was saying it wasn’t easy for BM hunters, which is true. Other classes can get into 11/12s much easier, not needing to be 625+. Can they get in? Yes, just need to be a bit higher ilvl then say a Shaman would need, due to their damage and utility combination.
Agree with the synergy 100%, that is definitely a fact.
The OP may not play to that level, however, they still have a valid argument.
At the end of the day, BM hunter could still use some help in regards to M+ efficacy.
If you throw a jar of jam in front of you and it breaks, the jam will spread out in a cone shape. You can use that to make a more accurate spread for WFB, if that accuracy serves the fantasy and gameplay. Or, you can ignore it, if it is inconvenient for the rest of the fantasy/gameplay.
In this case, the issue isn’t that the shape is a cone, but that the cone isn’t positioned properly to be most effective in melee range, and SV is a melee spec. The problem is best solved by repositioning the cone, not changing it to a radius.
Personally, I’d solve the problem by making SV a ranged spec again, but we don’t need to rehash that again.
A game based in fantasy should not have to follow the same laws a the physical world. The point of fantasy is to create a reality of it’s own that way you can make up the rules as you create.
Reality gets boring quick as it has rules that need to be followed or it’s not reality.
I do believe you are the one looking for an argument. I have just made the point that a game based in fantasy can break rules, and make what ever they want happen.
You are incorrect. I am in agreement with you that a fantasy game can break the rules of real world physics and that’s totally fine.
I’m saying that not doing that in certain isolated situations is sometimes better for the game overall, and I believe this to be one of those cases. WFB as a cone is more likely to hit the enemies you are fighting, easier to avoid CC’d targets, and has more effective area than a similarly sized radius. Repositioning the cone closer to the Hunter and extending it 3yd to keep the same max range solves this problem elegantly and without major adjustments.
Bursting Shot has a similar problem - the cone is too small, and not positioned properly to reliably knock back a target who is hitting you in the face. The solution here was the Legion legendary bracers.
The range increase meant you didn’t need to be on top of your target to have them in range, and being as little as 5yd (still melee range) from your target made a HUGE difference in terms of reliably getting the knock back.
