A simple void elf request

Is there explicit lore stating that these are non-canon? If so, could you please link it? I haven’t been able to find it.

Pretty sure I said in my post personally, I went out of my way to add that so I’m not even sure why you made this post at all but I also don’t really care so I’ll say cool and leave it at that.

I don’t have much issue with this.

Death magic can bring back things involved with the light just fine.

Goblins make deals with the elements I don’t see too much issue there.

The bigger issue is why don’t we have more shaman races if that’s acceptable?

Those were returning Shen’dralar who joined back with the night elves, or their more recent trainees. No real issue here. It’s not like night elves can’t use it.

I figure that’s for gameplay.

I do wish we had glyphs to turn shadow to light for priests though… And vice versa…

No playable goblin does that though. Not canonically.

Where do you get this?

I had been under the impression that the playable night elf mages weren’t Shen’dralar themselves, just had learned from them.

But then Lance and I looked up the old night elf mage quests that used to be in the game, and they actually seem to imply you are indeed playing a highborne night elf mage.

They could do a warlock green fire type toggle, so it affects all spells and their icons too.

Depending on where you look it flips.

Mage quests did suggest you were Shen’dralar but other areas suggest you’re just a trainee and that other mage night elves are brand new.

I’d love that too. But a glyph would expand professions for inscripters and be something you could get from level 15 on.

This seems to make it ambiguous enough that you can choose whichever you prefer. I like that.

A glyph to Shadow Form specifically to turn it into Light Form or something could carry a passive to make your other Shadow spells holy while you’re in Light Form, so this could work.

Or they could just make a glyph for each spell too. There really aren’t enough glyphs in the game.

If I recall correctly, Legion Disc priests could use a combination of glyphs and talents to go all holy or almost all shadow. That was nice.

That would be very nice.

Gods yes.

They really need more. They have such a good system and barely even try to use it.

Yeah… Don’t know why things like this don’t apply to more classes and specs.

Not only that, but Disc specifically can no longer do this. I know it’s intended to use both specifically, but still.

Lightforged DKs are pretty meh to me. Personally i just seem them as looking very awkward. I’d say the same for Goblin shaman to a certain extent.

Night Elf Mages though i don’t really have a problem with.

As for Demon Hunters though, i prefer for them to be a little more exclusive. Ideally i’d give the option to the other Elf Races and then a bonus being Orcs and Draenei. I know there’s other silly looking Class/Race combos but i think for DH’s it would look really goofy for certain races to have them.

It’s a slap in the face that I don’t have one of these right now.

My only thing is that it would have to be entirely aesthetic, otherwise it would be a balance issue.

That would be fine. You can rp away a dmg type in game.

Just like you can rp away a hair color.

so you agree? that void elves dont need white or black hair color?

White and black are within the void theme so I request them.

We do not need anything.

Also as an aside; do you really want to be the bad guy from mean girls?

youre the one that keeps saying it

i remember when you guys used to say, just give them blood elf skin tones. that would be a compromise. now its ok, ok, ok, we got the skin tones but white and black hair at least, that would be a fair compromise

those colors are no longer appropriate now that you guys have the skin tones. you would be a void elf with 0 signs of corruption, essentially an alliance white/black haired blood elf. and no youre not alleria. shes needs a makeover

I keep saying its only ok if its an unnatural shade of Black and White.

In fact I generally only seek sharing of ear length, Farstrider Tattoos, and scars.

And actually I don’t recall saying we need those things as much as I said that instead of the helf options we should have more void ones instead…

Actaully after the skin tones were released I specifically was satisfied. I also stopped supporting Helf options shortly after it became clear they would never stop and that the Void Elves I loved were going to be buried in the helf customizations.

You’re welcome to feel that way.

Black and White hair is valid to the theme of Void. I would prefer if it was a somewhat unnatural shade when released. The black NPC void elves already have could do with being a bit darker and the White I want is similar to the one when they were glitching and it simply had no texture.

Here are the things I advocate for. (For Void Elves anyways. I advocate for many things across the forums.)

problem is void elves would look 100% like an alliance blood elf while still having access to actual void customization. the same cannot be said for blood elves who have no void customization. you know, because they arent void corrupted

it doesnt sound fair does it and blizzard knows this. they said they had a very lengthy discussion about this. you think white and black hair still fit the theme of a void elf after the blood elf skin tones, they evidently disagreed and withheld them. and as you said RP them away if its too much or ofc play an actual blood elf

that void elf unique gray color is close enough as well

In my view black and white are void customizations.

Especially if they’re taken to an unnatural tone.

I very much doubt Blizzard truly cares. They did as little as they could to get “helf” options across and didn’t do much else.

If they cared we’d have seen many more things added to not just Void Elves but to all races, and Blood Elves wouldn’t have walked away with jewelry options as their big take.

Which is fine.

Though I get the distinct impression their discussions were only on blue eyes and skin tones.

I do in fact rp my hair as black specifically. (Though I rather like my slightly grey green tinged coloration and might change that in his story. He also has four tentacles on his back and a stomach mouth, but thats neither here nor there.)

I also play several Blood Elves, my main one is next in line to get to 60 as it happens. (though my Troll hunter might beat him out…)

As it happens we actually have two that can make a convincing black in most lighting. One is a greenish grey and the other a more silvery blue grey. The shades they are helpfully tend more black in many areas.

Its also more what I mean with unnatural tones. The black and white I seek wouldn’t be anything quite natural to be confused with other races versions of those colors.

I think at the very least Void Elves should have all the colors that gesture to emo subculture like their hairstyles do.

Black and white are fine, I want pink as well in some form. They have a darker pink option but wouldn’t mind one a little brighter.

Well, black hair is literally found on void elf NPCs, so yeah.

Seems they never finished the tentacle texture on this colour, which is I assume why it never made it to players.
