I like my Void Elf. I’d actually like an option to have all my spells use the same blue-black effects that NPC void spells have. I like Entropic Embrace’s visual (though I’d like it more if it looked more like Alleria’s). I love my 50% discount on transmog! Bit less thrilled with Spatial Rift’s awkward method of working (I would have preferred it to work the way Door of Shadows does), but at least I’ve found some practical use for it in bypassing Torghast Traps when Blink is on cooldown, and/or when it’s one of those long hallways full of traps
I think Void Elves have a lot of story potential… that may never be realized since Allied Races were never meant to get much in the way of development. They were intended to be quick and easy to add, and be developed prior to recruitment. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case for Void Elves which is a shame, since it leaves them lacking in foundational development, and I’m skeptical that we will see any in the future since BfA did absolutely nothing to develop them at the foundation level.
I hope I turn out to be wrong though and they do get some additional lore added. Important details like why these Silvermoon Scholars and High Elf Wayfarers are joining the Ren’dorei, and how they are acquiring their powers, would go a long way to fleshing them out.
Telogrus, as a zone, is captivating both because of its visual and due to its background music. I only wish there was an actual structure/fortress there so the Ren’dorei look less like a bunch of vagrants living in a few tents on a rock. I’d love to see the void theme delved into more deeply story-wise.
