So “A Scholar’s Delight” released today for the blue dragon whelpling but instead of just using one Awakened Frost from my inventory, it took ALL of them. 
Has anyone noticed this as well?

Just did this for me, as well, submitted a bug report… I stockpile awakened frost (and rousing) to use in inscription crafting, and it ALL poofed.
How does this keep happening? This is like the fourth or fifth time in DF that something has done this (consume all instances of a required item from the inventory instead of just…the required amount).
Damn, I think I did that on 7 or 8 characters, and yes… my Altoholic doesn’t find any Awakended Frost on them. Thank god I didn’t turn all Rousing into Awakening.
Devs please fix, check the “transactions” and refund, thanks!
Didn’t even noticed this until today, was getting disconnected on a daily whelp race, then checked my bags and all my awakened frost gone, hopping for a fix or refund 
This is also happening for “Hochenblume Harvest”, I put 1x T1, 6x T2, and 1x T3 Hochenblume into my reagent bag and turning in the quest removed all 6x T2 instead of only 5.
Awakened Frost issue of “A Scholar’s Delight” has been hotfixed on July 25th. I had stacks of two in my bags, bank, reagent bag, and reagent bank, and turning in the quest only removed one.
Guess we won’t read from the Blues until Devs figure out a way for a refund.
I had submitted a ticket when I made this post and five days later I got a refund from CS for my 57 Awakened Frosts.
I hope they will initiate refunds from their side. It would be awful when everyone who thinks was affected has to contact CS, sometimes for several characters. And because it happened to bags/bank kind of silent on a quest turn-in, I don’t think people are even aware that they lost some or how many they lost exactly.
