IC Intro
Hear the thrum of marching feet, and gaze over the masses of soldiers that march to glory! Hear the call of the recruiters who bark the offers that their organizations provide to those seeking work. All of the Alliance forces in Azeroth are fueled by the fires of war, and seek to defend home and hearth from an unrelenting Horde that has proven time and again a willingness to scorch the earth beneath their feet in the fires of war as they march, covering all that they can in a sea of red. A crimson displayed not only upon their banners, but also in the blood that they spill.
The Lions Vanguard is one such organization. What they lack in numbers and armies, they make up for in skill, tenacity, and strength. The Lions Vanguard prides itself on being a forward expeditionary force of undisputed efficacy, led by Fleet Admiral Jerard Moreaux and tasked with spreading the Alliance’s influence to the furthest reaches of Azeroth and beyond.
Their goal, as dictated to them by the Alliance High Command and ordered by the King, is to put an end to the Horde and the threats that they bring to the Alliance, Azeroth, and any world beyond. Not content to settle with just the Horde, however, the Lions Vanguard also takes the helm in directing their resources towards ANY evil force that threatens Azeroth and the Alliance way of life, be it undead, old god, demonic or otherwise.
With blade, spell, science, and the Light to back up their skill, they now look inwardly towards the great Cities and Capitals of the Alliance, to find those that are willing to fight and die for their homes, families and ideals.
OOC Intro
As you can see, the Lions Vanguard is an Alliance Military Guild. While a lot of other guilds pride themselves on being a larger division of the Alliance Military, The Lions Vanguard instead prides itself on being a smaller task force. Most guild events are about a strike team getting into a situation and having to use their combined skill to get through. Quick thinking and fast paced action go hand in hand with our event style, as we are looking to bring the best roleplaying experience we can with an emphasis on fast-paced rounds to avoid getting bogged down in unwarranted details.
Don’t let that fool you, though! We’re also all about bringing hard hitting action with emotional and evocative storytelling, and cultivating a community of storytellers so everyone who joins up can be a part of the evolution of the guild’s storyline, and the evolution of how we fit in with the rest of Moon Guard’s awesome assembly of guilds.
Here are a few things that we have to offer people:
Basic Information
- D20 Style Events (with a streamlined character sheet for excellent efficiency)
- Alliance-Centric themes
- Minimum of 2 events per week
- Naval Elements
- Expedition Focused
- Long, involving storylines with campaigns that can take place over several weeks to a month!
- War storylines currently devoted to the Faction conflict, and ending Sylvanas’ reign!
That’s all for the Roleplaying aspect! We also want to offer a host of Content options for people who both love to RP, AND do the content of the current expansion!
- Weekly Goals (Dungeon/LFR Raid/ Mythics)
- Island Expedition Spamming
- PvP Content such as BG’s, Warmode, possible arenas
And that’s just what we’re offering as of now. As we continue to expand and become more involved with the community, we’ll more than likely be offering more ways to both run content and develop your character through interactive storylines.
Unsure if your characters fit in exactly, and want to know? Well, we do have a list of requirements below. Quickly go through and see if you have what it takes to join The Lions Vanguard!
- Minimum Lvl 35 (A lot of our events take place in higher level zones)
- Minimum DK Lvl 65
- Minimum Demon Hunter Lvl 110
- Must Have MRP/XRP/TRP3 (or any other possible Roleplay Add-on)
- A basic understanding of Warcraft Lore (it changes consistently, but a general understanding helps wonders)
- A mature, tolerant attitude
- Common Sense
Please keep in mind, though, that while our requirements are pretty lax, we do have a small list of exclusions that will unfortunately barred certain types from recruitment. We ask that anyone who is interested in joining not have any of the following on the interested character:
- Below minimum required level.
- Characters with ERP notifications in their profile
- Characters that are Horde races (We are an Alliance guild after all!)
Adding to the above, please understand that as a potential recruit, you will be expected to follow the orders of the Alliance, of the High King, and to follow a strict military protocol. Criminal backgrounds will be investigated on an IC level, and all potential recruits are expected to start off at the lowest rank, no matter what rank they may have held previously in other guilds or on an IC basis.
