Harken, brothers and sisters in flame! For the Hand of Shadowforge is recruiting!

We are a heavy, Dark Iron themed RP guild on the Moon Guard server! We boast a fun-loving and welcoming community of RPers, and strive to provide the very best in Dwarven Roleplay, character progression and world building!

What is the Hand of Shadowforge?

Composed of the elite champions of the Dark Iron Clan, the Hand’s mission is to take the fight to the enemies of Shadowforge in whatever dark corner of the world they may lurk, while also dealing with the various threats more local to Khaz Modan and the Dark Iron Empire. Despite their militaristic nature, the Hand accepts members from all walks of life, and embraces the many varied aspects of Dark Iron society. Whether you be a soldier, a craftsman, a scholar or a judge, there is a place for you within the Hand! Likewise, given the Dark Iron’s history and unique identity, a sense of moral ambiguity is part and parcel within our ranks. Noble and virtuous paragons stand as equals alongside shady and immoral cutthroats. So long as loyalty to the Dark Iron Clan burns within you, you are welcome in our ranks!

Who can join the Hand of Shadowforge?

As one might expect, entry into the Hand of Shadowforge heavily favors the Dark Iron Dwarves. However, Gnomes, Mecha-Gnomes, Earthen and the other Dwarves of Ironforge, the Aerie and Frosthold will be allowed within our ranks on a case by case basis.

What kind of Roleplay does the Hand get up to?

The Hand employs a modified version of the Conquest d20 system for our main storyline campaigns. However, casual RP, tavern nights and character driven storylines are also a big part of our RP culture. In addition, we’ll be expanding our RP event variety as we continue our journey into the War Within. Gathering missions and crafting projects, cultural ceremonies and spiritual rituals, military exercises and sparring nights…all this and more to come in our roster of RP events!

Oi! Ne’er heard o’ yer Hand o’ Shadowforge before, but call me interested.

Would ye be lookin’ fer a Dark Iron who misses ol’ Emperor Thaurissan an’ the old ways o’ doin’ things but not tha’ slavery o’ them fire elementals? An’ a Dark Iron who pilfered them same elemental’s secrets one day ta’ use their own magic against them, hence learnin’ a lot about the elements an’ the elemental planes?

Also, I do a wee bit o’ tinkerin’, so I don’ mind workin’ wit’ them irradiated lil’ gnomes. Actually, I think we sent an ambassador once ta’ Gnomeregan after they blew themselves up. Wonder wha’ happened to ‘im?

Anyway, I was wonderin’ if yer lookin’ fer one such as me, as I’m always willin’ an’ able to stand an’ offer me services an’ knowledge fer Shadowforge an’ tha Dark Iron Empire!

Tha’s good tae hear. Ain’t nothin’ worse than a Dwarf that up an’ forgets where they come from. ‘Specially a Dark Iron! An’ power is power, lass. I donnae’ care where it comes from, as long as the Dark Iron are the one who’re usin’ it.

(Sounds like Grinbor and Fingri will get along perfectly fine! He loves knowledge/power in all forms, so anything new to learn is a boon in his eyes, whether it’s arcane, fel, elemental magics or fighting techniques. And while he’s a traditional Dark Iron at heart, he does understand the need to work with the Alliance in the current state of the world. At least for now. :wink: )
