IC Introduction –
From the skyline flies in a darkened crow down toward your position, with it, a parchment emanating with magical hues could be seen clasped in the beak of the bird. The creature would land before you, offering a slight bow of its beak as the item it held within its grasp is dropped to your feet. If you were to break the arcane seal of this letter, a small flash of light and energy would erupt outward into a vision you may only see. Faded images of hooded figures illuminated by dim candlelight would turn their heads toward you. Before you may be able to distinguish who these individuals are, a small breeze would blow past, dragging the image in front of you into the wind – causing it to dissipate completely. At this point ink begins to seep into the paper first forming letters and then words, letting the reason behind this unusual missive be known.
"The time has come upon us for our Reformation. You, bearer of this letter, have been called upon. There are powers to be uncovered, magics to seek out, and journeys to take. The Order will no longer be splintered across the winds, and if you accept you will be added as a catalyst to our flame.

About Magelight’s Roleplay –
The Magelight Society is an organization of wanderers, built to provide practitioners of arcane and taboo magics with a wing to be brought under. A group who sees the unearthed relics of our world’s chaos as knowledge, ripe for the picking. The Society sees those cast out by civilization and witnesses them as an instrument capable of unimaginable power, with the composure required to withstand the responsibility [and consequences] of wielding it.
Research, however, is but part of our mission. Magelight’s glow illuminates the far reaches of our world in search of ancient relics, knowledge… and battle. What lies beyond the veil often requires one to hunt or be hunted. Powerful creatures of all magical creeds, offshoot demon clans born in the wake of Sargeras’ defeat, beings of void and their tempered followers, all casting a shadow beneath our torchlight… All with secrets to be learned, all with treasure to be earned.
Those who spin this double-sided coin are often the ones who hold an undying curiosity within their hearts. Beneath the crow’s wing we look to cultivate a Society of mages, looking to line their shelves with items of power… and to gild their heavy pockets. A modern, traveling reliquary, full of individuals hungry to unearth the secrets our world holds.
Even the ones better left unearthed…
Who We Are –
Magelight is a guild with a bit of history. Spanning from retail to classic and back to retail once more - the guild returns with a passion to bring together a tightly-knit community of roleplayers both green and veteran. We want you to delve into our existing plot lines for our guild’s Main Story, and in our personal RP plots. And vice versa! IC drama is always the best drama, and OOC drama doesn’t exist here.
There are no requirements to join the guild other than having a roleplay addon and a willingness to take nuanced criticism about your writing. If you’re new, we’d love to help you. If you’re a veteran, we’d love to have you!
We also really try to make our guild a fun environment to be in OOC as well. With an active Discord both on and off voice, and a membership core that strives to eliminate clique-y-ness from our guild’s experience, we want you to have little excuse to not participate. pls be friends with us
