Maybe after raids become legacy raids, can we open the 1% raid mount to every difficulty?
Kinda sucks farming Mythic only (or Heroic for the earlier raids) for the mount when you have every piece of gear’s transmog already.

Edit: Since there seems to be a lot of confusion. What I’m proposing is that the 1% raid mount has a chance to drop from every difficulty but only the first time you run that raid each week per character. So if you decide to run Normal first, it’ll have a chance to drop during that Normal raid but will not have a chance to drop if you decide to go back and do Heroic and Mythic that week.
I’m not asking for additional chances, I’m not asking for higher drop rates, I’m not asking for them to make it easier (they’re legacy raids… they’re already easy at every difficulty). I would just like to farm transmogs from other difficulties while also farming the mount.

That doesn’t really work for mounts that drop in raids that have multiple difficulties but you can only do 1 of them per week.
Such as EoE, ICC, Throne of the Four Winds, Firelands, Dragon soul, Mogu’shen Vaults and Throne of thunder. (LFR doesn’t drop mounts for Dragon soul, MSV and Throne of Thunder).
With the exception of ICC, all of the above raids listed drop mounts on both normal and heroic mode (or 10 / 25 man for EoE) however you can only do one of them per week per character. Meaning you can’t do normal and heroic on the same character.
ICC only drops the mount on 25 man heroic but like the ones listed, you can only do 1 difficulty per character per week.

By the time a raid is a legacy raid, they are two expansions old and you can easily solo them on any difficulty. If you’re looking to solo old raids at level 50, then no. It’s easy enough to farm them as it is.
Dude. I’ve been after the Tusk’s of Mannaroth for years… Still haven’t received them. Even so, something so rare should stay rare.

I mean if you want a guaranteed drop clear it when itnis current.
BTW I don’t have any raid mounts. I would not mind some of them. I will either have to get.lucky or get better at clearing current mythic tiers for the mount.
I don’t think you guys realize that this doesn’t effect rarity of the mount at all…

I feel like people aren’t understanding the OP. He’s asking that the mount drop on any difficulty of a raid that you can still only run once a week. This doesn’t affect the rarity, but does make it more rewarding to farm for example 10m versions of a raid if you’ve already gotten all of the available mogs from 25m, as I have for several.
I definitely support this idea.

Most of them already have that. However those raids can only be done once per week per character anyway.
What he is asking is for mounts that only drop from a single difficulty to drop on all difficulties. Which won’t work for ICC but will work for those raids from WoD onwards.

Not necessarily. Dragon Soul and ICC both drop mounts only on the highest difficulty. Coincidentally they’re both massive raids with a lot of mogs that would benefit from OP’s request.
They need to expand it to all raids… maybe just figure out how to make it so only the first time you run a raid each week has a chance to drop the mount (so you can’t just farm every difficulty).
I’m doing HFC now and I’m betting in 2 weeks I’ll have every mythic transmog and it would be nice if I could focus down on Heroic or Normal for theirs.
I can go along with this. I know after running ICC 300+ times I was finished with that raid and have really not been back even though I lake most of the other transmog. Once something becomes legacy there is no big difference time wise. I can clear 25 Heroic Dragon Soul just as fast as I do 25 Normal Dragon Soul.
They become 1% once they become trivial. This is the point.
But you can only do one mode for the week on that character. So adding them to the others won’t change anything. Which is what i’m getting at. What the OP wants will only affect raids that were released after the WoD pre-patch (including SoO in this). Which would defeat the purpose of them being mythic only mounts.
Dragon soul is massive? It is an 8 boss raid that has teleporters to every single boss. Hell, there is no trash after you do Ultraxion.
How would it not affect mount rarity? Wouldn’t there now be 3-4 additional modes to farm them on? Am I missing something?
