I was organizing my bags while flying and hit my mount button. Didn’t paly bubble in time. New crater in Winterspring.
Reminds me of the time I moonfired a rat and it missed.
Not me and not recent but I remember when I started playing around age 12-13 and we were running an old raid, I think Ulduar and I think it was the Yogg fight, but I remember we all died except this boomkin, we had quite a laugh watching for like five or so minutes as a tentacle add CC’d him and just flung him around until he eventually died.
Soloed ICC in 25 man heroic and got bone spiked by Marrowgar. Took several minutes to finally die.
They’re fun in a challenging legion Mage Tower sort of way, it just sucks that the pressure is immense because failing costs you a wasted token
Do you burn all the way to the ground?
I’m gonna gave try this
A more Nobel death could not be had
Grouped up to kill the world boss in Uldum. Right after killing him, I left the group, and immediately got killed by him in the new phase
So a couple of days ago I killed that elite shark, went up to get a drink of water, forgot I was underwater, and came back to a dead toon.
We were trying Il’gynoth for the first time and I noticed that there was a pool at the bottom of the pit. “You must be able to jump down then!”
3/4ths of the raid missed the jump because the pit isn’t that wide.
I died three more times trying to figure out where to jump from (because I’m stubborn).
The run down is a lot quicker now.
Not recent, but back in BC, I had my hearth set to the Aldor rise in Shat, and used to jump off the rise and pally bubble on the way down so I didn’t have to wait for the elevator. More than once I accidentally targeted the guards right by the edge, and then bubbled them as I plummeted to my death. Good times.
Was in a m+.
Opened mdt to take a super fast peek at the route to make sure I was pulling the right group, but when I closed it, I x’ed out of wow instead of the mdt window (yea. Windowed mode. I know). Quickly reopened the client but I, and the rest of the group, was dead.
Oops.
i got some upgrades in raid and equipped too much corruption thinking “i’ll just pay extra attention for the thing from beyond and use AMS for the circle with the eye”
so i got to watch my guild kill drest from where i got one-shotted way off to the side
Had a super nasty cold the last 3 weeks… (Not Corvid-19 (corona virus,) just a cold but it was really nasty.) Anyway, I’m on a flight path and had a sneeze fit. Hit something, not sure what key I hit, but I found myself very dead after dismounting in mid flight and falling, falling, falling to my death.
Of course I didn’t have a glider… This is the Only alt I don’t have a glider for that can’t control falling. /sigh
This is more of a dumb way someone else died but my stupidness still caused it.
Before flying in BfA I was on the top of this cliff in the desert, looking down and figuring out whether I want to take the risk of dying or 10 minutes of travel time.
I decide I can’t make it but being the idiot I am, I slip anyway.
Well, Pandaren racial kicks in and I barely live.
That would have been nice, except someone else saw me survive the fall and followed me down.
They were not a Pandaren.
I switched from a long line of Druids to this Hunter and I die to falling quite a bit more than I’d like to admit.
Disengage. It saves you from falling because physics.
Was on an island expedition with my boomkin. Entered one of the enemy portals that took me high in the air on a platform with an airlord boss. Wasn’t paying attention, he gusted me off the platform and I fell, fell, fell, in the ring of fire.
And I was too flabergasted I got blown off the platform that I forgot to use the fall speed reduction BUILT into my zandalari boomkin.
Woe was me.
switched my resto to guardian and botched putting my corrupted gear on winding up with max corruption and promptly charged into a 122 rare elite to solo it…
This is correct. I have found different ways of using it to my advantage, based on the terrain. It’s actually a really great ability. I just absentmindedly still hit the buttons I have Druid forms/abilities bound to. This old dog is slow at learning these new tricks.
