Look I’m just making this because I just had a dumb death and it made me laugh so I figured why not?
Anyway. You know that quest where you fly a kite with kua fon? Well I had to go twice so when I was done I hadn’t landed yet. So I think “Hm I’ll hit the exit button and it’ll probably just have me glide down or something”
Hit the button.
I did not glide down.
Bwonsamdi had to put salt in the wound “Oh look at you the mighty hero!”
I was flying to the entrance for Mechagon on my Priest so I could get to the zone and unlock Mechagnomes. I hit autorun, alt-tabbed to change my music real fast, got distracted, and switched back just in time to watch myself die from fatigue in the Ocean.
I was doing LFR Ny’alotha for the first time on my DK last week. After killing Maut I was trying to go the next room but ended up falling to my death not noticing there’s an empty space near the ramp.
Last dumb death i had was when i accidentally hit my bubble while i was flying. Forbearance was still on me by the time i hit the ground.
I was on my mage in Uldum and accidentally dismounted in midair. My mounts are keybound so sometimes I hit the button by mistake. I knew that I had Slow Fall, but I made a very low effort to use it. Face planted to the earth.

Tried to fight vale world boss with 80 corruption.
Kaboomed meself.
Netgunned a demon hunter, he glided down and met me with his friends.
Just yesterday before I got my mount. I forgot I didnt actually have flight since my character was level 59 (forum hasnt updated the level yet). I get on my flying mount, jump up to fly…down I go…like an anvil.
Wasnt even mad, I just laughed lol
I made a toon on classic.
I’m still waiting for a death that isn’t dumb.
Can’t think of anything recent, but I remember doing Razorfen Downs, and there was a bug where a debuff I had would not disappear after I stepped away from a mechanic I was standing in. Healer was like, “priest, what are you taking damage from?”
Turns out I had to die in order for the bug to go away. I kept trying to heal myself like crazy.
Just dinged 110 and had to fly to Silithus from Uldum this evening. Started flying and Alt-Tabbed out for a quick snack. Came back to see that I was at the top of the giant sword, and flying downward was too slow.
Had a brilliant idea! Jumped off my mount and clicked my grappling hook. Fell for an incredibly long time. Somewhere about halfway down I realized I had nominated myself for a Darwin Award. Clicked at the ground like crazy for the last few hundred feet.
Somehow my grappling hook did connect to the ground before I hit, but it made me laugh because I’d have felt stupid dying like that. 
Most recent was misclicking while in flight but since that’s been said a few times, I’ll go with one last week or so. Autoflying across kul tiras, ran to put pasta in the boiling water on the stove. Decided to make a cup of coffee, remembered I was in flight in time for fatigue to death me half way across nomapzone
I was leveling my mechagnome and I took him to Vashjir. Had to afk a bit. I swear I put him on the boat but when I came back he was all dead and drowned in the water
Recently I was questing in Nazjahatar and a world boss spawned on top of me and ate me for lunch. 
I never die. I’m literally that good.
I took a portal to Dalaran crater, and DKs are one of the few classes that don’t have methods to negate fall damage…
It’s not super recent but earlier in the xpac I was flying towards the Island Expedition table and while flying I pushed the wrong button dismounting myself on my Warlock and went splat on a high tree branch. What made it funny was Bwonsambi greeted me with a “Let me guess… ya got in over ya head?” (Insert Bwonsambi Laugh)

Just recently on my human hunter wanted to tame the three Kor’kron wolves in SoO so decided to do LFR Gates of Retribution only thing was never soloed it until now so I ran past the towers without destroying cannons.
