If you’re to release another vanilla, please do so without allowing any addons and bring your GMs back into the game. Just an idea.

What are you even talking about! We had add-ons in Vanilla 
Just without any addons, a better and more challenging way to play the game is what I’m talking about.
I’m sorry but vanilla in its current state is not a hard game. Even without DBM or threat meters most of the fights boil down to “press one button and stand out of the fire”. If you want to play that vanilla, SoM and the legacy realms exist for you. If you want a more challenging experience, then ask blizzard to give us SoM with new boss mechanics in all raids, multiple raid tiers (norm/heroic) and new talents (wrath talents are the best choice imo). Nothing about “no addons” makes vanilla challenging.
You’re certainly welcome to play the game without add-ons. They’re not essential in Classic Era as encounters are quite simple.

I agree with you, addons have over-extended their usefulness, to downright playing the class for you. You can download a WA that literally tells you button for button what spells to press and where to move, and what to do. The game is so mapped out the playerbase has literally cut all the fun out of the game for the sake of meta chasing. Its funny and sad at the same time. I also highly doubt that blizzard would ever remove the use of addons. prob just a small minority that wants to actually enjoy playing the rpg portion of the game.
Blizzard is the only company ive ever seen that has catered THIS MUCH for its player base and it shows. At this point, im just waiting for a new game to come out that just says ‘get bent’ to its player base. You cant please them all, so when you try to, you end up with what we have now. Only thing the “community” hasnt asked for vehemently yet, is the admin tool-set to spawn themselves the best loot in the game with a line of code because they cant be expected to play more than 30 minutes after their 4 jobs and 10 kids.
