Our mastery is occasionally duplicating our spells. Our Ancestors are occasionally duplicating our spells.
Wouldnt it be less convoluted to just give us a permanent pet? Or even a DoT?
Copied spells has been a staple of Ele for a long long time. It’s iconic to the class imo, So much so that Blizzard tried to remove it and ending up reversing course because they realized how much better a passive it is for Ele. Best to leave it as is.
Did they? I dont remember that. Either way, im just asking it as a hypothetical.

Yeah it was … during WoD? I think? I don’t remember but they removed the spell copy and gave us a passive where during combat we’d occasionally launch stone spikes at our target. It was a total snoozefest and Blizzard reversed course.
I think a pet could be cool but I think it would need to be different from other pet classes. Maybe we just spawn little elementals that enable effects on our kit.
