So basically, you’ll accept nothing we say so you can justify Blizzard intervening to fix a problem that horde players are completely unwilling to even try to fix themselves? Why even start a topic when you simply dismiss anything that doesn’t fit your narrative?
no, all im saying is that it is not enough with free transfer and i shouldnt have to explain that to you
If Blizzard offered up a potential solution to your long queues and you chose not to take it, then whose fault is it that you’re sitting in long queues?
To the Alliance players complaining about being outnumbered by Horde on your PVP server, and suggesting that the Horde switch factions:
What?
The same solution would be to go to an alliance dominated server (like Netherwind).
sorry its hard to have an actual conversation when its people endlessly spam troll you on the subject.
like your own strawmaning for example.
free faction transfers remains the best solution to the problem. this “fix” while helps horde game experience, hurts the alliance experience.
the already small pvp ally community will enter a snowball of death, its already happening and the change isn’t even finalized, horde will still gank alliance just like classic, og tbc, retail. and its human nature to push conflict when you have superior numbers (which again will only grow).
As one of the bigger go to lines was “well we can’t play the game” in reference to waiting in line for bgs, ally can’t accomplish anything meaningful in the world during prime time with out bring a raid a long. Sure you could say well you knew about that when you went alliance, which I say “and you knew about the que situation”
Another factor is this change is an unprecedented change, activision micro transaction cancer for launch is one thing, but this change is a fundemental change to the core of TBC gameplay. It wasn’t added in classic vanilla when horde faced the same problem, but now it is? its inconsistent. So people are angry over a month+ thrown out the window on top of potentially wasted boosts
So you’re ok with letting one person get free transfers, but not letting one person q a little faster? Flawed logic.
q’s werent suppose to be hours long + , in retail q’s are 8 - 15min MAX when its super long, idk where you get the idea q’s were suppose to be 1h+
also in prepatch q’s were 10-15min for hordes so yeah, yall alliance are delusional
pretty simple.
this change while helps horde situation, hurts alliance situation.
free transfers help both situations, horde can get the ques, and alliance population (along with game experience) doesn’t go into melt down.
have you ever qued as a dps for a heroic during expansion launch push? ques easily get to 1hr+
Ah so you’re reasoning is population. Sure seemed fine before the change. I’ve had no issues with population.
Alliance are not affected. We are not rerolling horde. Our Qs will be just as fast.
what the ??? what are you even talking about , its about bgs q here, not welfare pve content
We all agreed that there was a problem:
Problem: Too many horde/Not enough alliance queuing for BGs
Solution: More horde switching over to alliance
“Just reroll” is one of the ways to implement that solution (and the only one actually available at the time)
its gameplay and game experience, you can’t simply ignore it cause its inconvenient to your narrative
-
Actively use free transfers to balance servers (not for monetary greed) on their population for each faction. Also while you’re at it collapse dying servers together to help those poor guys out.
-
Increase honor gains to incentivize people to actually play BGs. I know -many- people including myself slowed or stopped BGs because of these horrific nerfs.
-
Rebalance racials or disable them in PvP content. This is kind of radical but it shuts down the core issue that causes people to pick one faction or another. Not 100% necessary in my mind tbh but it would certainly make an impact.
Overall I think #2 is probably the most important bit.
I mean there’s way more horde than alliance you can look at the server pops for that so less people, but as for solutions i give you 2.
1: give free xfers from horde to alliance only
2: reset everyone’s racials and make it so you can choose any racial with any class cause #nochanges is way out the window already…
Why give feedback when we can Cry2Win like horde
We just need to disable will of the forsaken in arena, that will cause the population shift that is needed.
Most ppl on horde just want to bgs, why would they have to spend DAYS of play time to be able to play and leave behind their characters that they love or whatever they feel about it ?
Its actually disgusting that alliance are so numerous but they just want to do pve for some reasons. I dont get it. Why do you play WoW if you dont pvp
Not everything needs a solution. Sometimes things are in place to keep the overall design balanced.
You don’t have people in sports saying offsides needs a solution, do you? It doesn’t need a solution because it keeps the integrity of the game in tact.
Alliance already is the lesser of the two factions played when it comes to PvP. I too found myself rolling alliance but I’ve also raided horde at a high level. The queue times on alliance actually is a perk that helped me keep that decision to play with the alliance.
When you keep taking away perks that one side has over the other, and just keep giving the already over populated side more solutions, then what you get is a superior faction and an UNBALANCED game.
To finish my last rant, I’m surprised if most horde pvpers are ok with this because if they are, then WoW really has lost its identity years ago back when faction pride in PvP was a real thing. Since this is the classic of old (TBC) the games first expansion where faction pride very much was a thing you’d think those who came back to play it would be against a change such as this.
This isn’t just a minor bug fix, or a quick in game convenience, this is a HUGE change that again, while it helps queues, it destroys so many things that we feel and appreciate in a game.
Their feedback was “reroll Alliance”. Did you not read the forums?
