I heard they are banning for Anal jokes in Trade chat now. Will I get banned if I replace Anal with Alan instead? For example, Alan [Thunderfury], Alan[Better with friends] etc…
They ban who? LOL at the idea of them actually moderating trade chat, I don’t talk in it but I know some people who are def getting banned if they’re banning for things as small as this.
I just go with the classic “Did somebody say…”
Then I let nature take its course.

They’ve been pushing boundaries for years and I don’t think they’ve been banned because they’re still at it to this day

They aren’t. There is a higher likelihood that Blizz actually perfectly balances one of their games than them banning people for anal [spam].

Blizzard cant even ban the massive bottting epidemic that’s going on, I don’t imagine they care that some puritanical conservative type is complaining about what others say in trade chat.

I find this ironic to be honest, as at this point I consider the people who are just having a laugh not taking any offense AS the conservative folk, and the ones that are getting their feathers ruffled over it, as the progressive types.
The people that are getting offended to me, are a bit too much in the snowflake territory…but I’m made of steel.
I mean morally conservative religious types. Progressives means different things to different people in different countries. Progressives to me would mean more open minded and permissive.

That’s not how I see progressives these days.
When i think of “progressive” the first terms that come to mind are cancel-culture, identity politics, and the kind of people that will try and trash and ruin your reputation over something you said or did 10+ years ago digging up all kinds of dirt on you, that kind of thing.
I also see a progressive as someone that wants to do whatever the heck they want, but wants to censor everyone that they don’t like or don’t want around.
I mean don’t get me wrong, I am not saying I have an issue with some progressive causes, like gay rights no problem, being nicer to poor people no problem…but I am just saying my views on progressives in general these days, well they don’t look good. I mean to be fair, some conservatives go to the extreme of saying things in popular culture like wow, Harry Potter etc are evil but to me that’s extreme

Things are very different in the US, I’m in Australia and it’s a lot less extreme. We have a conservative party and a ‘progressive’ party. Our progressives just aren’t very progressive, just an average center left party really.
If that’s the case the entire Moon Guard server should be purged, taken to the back, get Office Space’d with baseball bats and turned into plastic sporks and used in the cafeteria in Blizzard if that was going to happen XD
I must have a box checked on something - haven’t seen one of these scroll by in years. Maybe I’m just lucky.
