A question about raising undead

Why is it that only elves and humans can be raised as undead and not other races? (Apart from death knights)
Necromancy skill basically. The Val'kyr in Sylvanas' employ were originally designed to raise Vrykul and by extension can raise humans. Apparently over time Sylvanas' mastery of the process has grown and now they can raise elves too. The Lich King for example can raise whatever he wants.

Any race can be raised. It's just humans and elves are the races that get affected the most by the necromancers.

On Draenor, most undead we saw were undead orcs. On Zandalar, most undead we see are trolls. Zul'drak is full of undead trolls as well.

It's just all about location. Forsaken are freed undead of Lordaeron and Quel'thalas, so most are undead humans and elves.

If the plague of undeath spread in Khaz Modan instead of Lordaeron, we'd see a lot more undead dwarves than undead humans,

Any mortal flesh and blood race can be raised using necromancy.

At the BfL Sylvannas raises skeletons from all fallen troops. We can see Orc, Tauren, gnome, and Dwarf skeletons out there

Isn't skeleton raising like kids stuff in terms of necromancy magic? It doesn't take much to animate a bunch of bones. Hell non necromancers can do it.
It’s like the “my first blasphemy” of dark magic, yeah.

I don’t even understand what Sylvanas can, or can’t, do. Supposed she goes to great lengths to get more Valkyr because they can raise the dead. Then, as the SoL, she waves her arms and raises a mess of skeletons from all races. If she can do that, why does she have an army of skeletons?

So. . . just how many times DID you do that WQ for Khadgar on the Broken Shore, Sigmar?

If it’s living it can be dead and if it can be dead it most certainly can be undead.

Skeletons are simple. The undead the val’kyr raise are better in every single way, skeletons can’t be more than cannon fodder cause anyone can kill them.

They are also mindless, and can’t continue the Forsaken.

As far as we know only Worgen and Demons are specifically immune/resistant to the Valkyr turning them into undead.

As said this is largely a matter of the forsaken having access to elves and humans as their primary sources of undead.

Also this as much falls into resource cost category that Blizzard hasn’t even represented the Quel’thian Forsaken apart from the Dark Rangers and their the second largest group of Forsaken.

But if she could raise them all along, there are a ton of places she could have. The show her having no ability to raise the dead, then all of sudden she just can’t raise “good ones”. If you buy the meme that she just wants to raise dead to have a shield around her, why doesn’t she have a shield of skeletons?

Reason?

Blizzard can reuse the models of their undead more then others.

undead lore man omg crazed phase haha lightforged haha free will valued hahaha attached to former life but plague humans, death knight undead but separate races like its not undead haha horde paladins rez them hahaha everything in night warrior scenario wew
