A question about itemization

One question that still really lingers with me after Blizzcon is if we are going to see progressive itemization in classic. They mentioned time gating things like the upgraded dungeon set, and probably some of the newer item drops that were added in later. However there was no mention of items that changed partway through the lifespan of vanilla.

For example; at release the rank 10 pvp helm for warriors was: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=16514/champions-plate-headguard

Post patch 1.10 the item was buffed and changed to https://classic.wowhead.com/item=23244/champions-plate-helm

I'm sure this has already been discussed behind closed doors, however these are mid/late vanilla changes that made some earlier content irrelevant, so some clarity would be nice.
Yea, I have this question too and would like to know what, if anything, they plan to do with regard to how itemization changed over time.
Well Ion said in the classic panel that they don't want to mess with 1.12 data.

Seems to me that indicates we're getting 1.12 and everything that goes with it.

True, however there is a big difference between many of these items that may contribute to trivializing content. While I have no doubt Molten Core will be even more boring now than it was 14 years ago, it would be nice to at least see Ragnaros submerge during the fight and to actually need fire resistance gear and potions.

However these changes could also be taken into account when they do a numbers tweak to account for 16 debuffs instead of 8.

None the less, an answer would be nice.
Shameless bump to compete with loot trading and sharding outrage.
Don't think they'll be buffing raid bosses tell beta/alpha testing and find that the bosses are to easy so tell then, don't expect any buffs for pve
