Just so you guys know, there are absolutely zero scenarios where you hold lust until the first boss. Either first or second pull, max. Unless you have some strange tech with mind soothe, invis pots, and perhaps a rogue shroud, that somehow skips the entire beginning of the dungeon, just send lust.
Why? Because it is going to take you at least something like 5 minutes to get to and through that first boss, and it’s probably top 3 easiest bosses of the season. Not to mention, you absolutely want to have it up for the second boss, which actually poses a threat. Not only all these things, but this way you can use it 3x instead of twice.
I will leave a completion key if I see this level of stupidity even after I’ve asked for the lust.
nope. i tried to reason with them, and asked twice. if they would have responded basically in any way whatsoever, especially if it at all made sense, i wouldnt have left. then they proceeded to pull a large pull and ironically the tank died lol. who woulda guessed. i dont do radio silence
i should also add there was a carry in the group. i despise when people do that in something like a 10.
its not about control. its whats best for the team. if someone is doing something that benefits literally nobody, it isnt the right move. and just like you want consequences for who knows what, these people need to have consequences as well
Same with meadery. Not only does lusting on the first pull get you an extra one at typical overall pace. Lusting the first boss is completely pointless because half of the lust just ends up wasted during the beer running phase at 66%.
I’ve had people refusing to use it in the rookery as well. Like that boss is basically completely free, and it takes 5 minutes to get to him
In a number of other circumstances, I would be with you. This was a 10, for one. For two, I asked him twice and explained why he should. And most importantly, this is common sense.
I disagree. You don’t just not lust because it’s a completion key. If he would have literally given me any reasonable response. Even something as stupid as that he wanted to see if he could pop off on the boss with bombs and lust , I would have been completely ok with it. But to completely ignore me twice is nuts
I think it depends. I for one don’t trust people on first boss ML, had a 7 run where nobody seemed to understand how kicking an object worked or buffing the boss with gold nor the damage amp. Personally, I don’t want that train wreck to last longer.
I get the haste of lust is big, but if the tank isn’t pulling in a way to justify it then I’m not doing it. I can get a lot more done with haste inside my CDs, during a damage amp, with lust than I will for 2 packs of mobs.
At the end of the day, it is just a communication thing, kinda like you were mentioning OP. I don’t think I’d leave because of the no talking about it, but I get what you are coming from.
Agree on this 100% though. Meadery is so packed at the start, and with the Boss being %phase based there is no reason to hold lust.
You didn’t give them a chance to lust. You gave them 30 seconds and then ditched lol now if you make it to the 2nd boss without a single Lust, then yeah that’s understandable.
This may come as a shock to you, but the world doesn’t revolve around you. Do you demand that people double check if it’s okay if they use their CDs with you before popping them too or you’re out??
I don’t think i’ve ever seen the coin magnet suck up a single pile of gold…lol even back in BFA when it was current.
You’re not wrong, there are definitely optimal ways to line up cds. I also love to learn about these tips and tricks if they’re not overly complicated.
I just wouldn’t expect optimal performance until a certain key level and experience though.
The best use would be using it where the party as a whole wants to use it. More experienced players will plan routes around when they want it and often that means lusting the very first big pull because all cds are up and it could be a while before you clear to first boss.
At a certain level, not working with the team because it’s your utility and not theirs is a bad idea
A 10 is more than enough to know when/ know when to listen to reason on when to Lust.
You should know that by 7/8s.
I like the pace of this Season but … it’s insane the level of poor play it’s encouraging. Go look in the gf at any given time, and you’ll see TONS of keys in the 6-7-8 range where people have never even run the dungeon before.
Just because you timed “DungeonA” at a 7, has no bearing on your ability to time “DungeonB” at a 7. Different trash, different bosses, different mechanics. No way I’m signing up for that and it’s like 30% of Keys!!! No way, bro.
You would expect people to lust on first pull on Fortified week but they simply don’t, specially if its a healer. If you want to make sure about having consistent lust, get a shaman dps, not healer.
