Sorry if this is the wrong section, I didn’t want to restrict it to just one of the 3 PvP sections since it covered all 3 and seemed very “general” to me.
My proposal is simply a PvP talent
One specifically for all tank specs that may resolve frustrations towards tanks in PvP since most people don’t enjoy the annoying disruptive offhealing play style but will allow tanks to be more relevant to their team by having the ability to keep up in dps.
For example
Attuned to War: Adopt Battle strategies that reduce healing done by 20%, increasing damage taken by 10% and increasing damage done by 15%.
If not a PvP talent than an automatically applied buff/debuff that automatically applies in PvP.
And they can simply tune the numbers to the talent for specific specs since 15% increased damage to Prot paladin is simply unreasonable.
As someone that enjoys PvP’ing as a tank, I don’t like the stigma behind it and would gladly even the battlefield for a more strategic play style rather than an “outlast them” playstyle. Basically, I’ll let you have an easier time killing me or my teammate but I want the damage to be a bit less of a gap. I can just be another dps spec in PvP but tanky in PvE.
If you’re a tank player in PvP would you like this as well? I’d love to see opinions.

By simply…creating a new toon? That’s not getting good that’s the equivalent of switching to the “flavor of the month” meta class.
That. Sounds. Awful.
They already reduced my healing from Frenzied Regeneration from 2 charges to 1, so I die without heals. And I should be willing to accept taking more damage for the privilege of dying way more easily than anyone else in the bg?
Nope. Go away. I will not let you make PvP utterly useless to me as some sort of a sick “compromise” clearly intended to force tanks out of PvP altogether, your insincere disclaimer notwithstanding.

That’s what DPS are for. Tanks have a different role.

I’m also a guardian Druid main…if you’re on par in gear then you are NOT easy to kill whatsoever. Even with frenzied regen nerf.
Prepatch gave us amazing survive utility as well.
So I guess my argument is…if it’s a PvP talent…just don’t use it?
Tank already take 50% increased damage in PVP, your suggestion would just buff them.
as of right now we’re just offhealers or with the case of prot pally dps and healer. It’s not a different role if others do the same exact things or if we excel at everything.
In pvp, my physical damage is nerfed, and I take more damage, my cc is reduced, I don’t think i’m wanted. Works for me.

idk why you want to buff tank damage. i haven’t seen anyone 1v1 me in a battleground as tank.
Seems like this is something you can already do.
As someone who stays tanky in BGs, I don’t want to have my ability to take hits reduced, that’s the point of being a tank.
Give us taunts that make a player attack us for X seconds and allow tank interrupts to actually last more than 1 millisecond. Heck make it so if we’re between our opponent and a teammate we absorb some of their damage.
