The Yak is also kind of a luxury item; it cost like 140k which isn’t exactly chump change and only really has the benefit of the transmog vender and slightly better food over the Mammoth (which is a much more economical 20k).
I was going to give a real reply to this, but the more nonsense I read from the OP, the more I just went with “must be a troll.”
I think we should nerf players complaining about the yak… -50 DKP.
How about no.
I paid to have my mount for transmog anywhere, anytime.
The only nerf these mounts need is automatic dismount like at Trading Post but around mailboxes.
my only issue with large mounts is how many people sit on them right on top of quest givers, or so close to to totally obstruct the view.
it’s not the end of the world, but it’s annoying.
I certainly wouldn’t be against Blizz making the no-mount zone distance from quest givers ever so slightly larger.
Quite impossible, unless you base it on the WoW token, and that in itself is a very poor metric to base server economy off of.
A silly restriction, and while I know (or hope) you are joking about the merchants attacking you, imagine the disruption people could cause with this.
Good lord no. Stop giving Blizzard ideas to milk people of their money for WoW tokens.
The reason for these mounts is convenience. Not very convenient if you can’t use it, is it? Also punishes people who use these mounts as their normal land mounts because they actually like them.
It already annoys the heck out of me that I can’t use the dragonriding mounts outside of Dragon Isles, and can’t use the Qiraji Battle Tanks outside of AQ40, mounts being restricted to certain areas is bad.
Yakety Yak.
Anybody remember when Ruthers’ Harness was spammable?
Um no, as an owner of none of these mounts people should be able to use them whenever they want, however they want.
My only complaint is that I wish we had more variety of them. I don’t care for the look of the yak mount. I wish people could transmog/vendor/AH on different types of mounts.
The yak isn’t something that a lot of casual players can just run to the vendor and buy. While a lot of people do have it nowadays, it’s still quite a luxury item.
Personally the yak was the best investment I ever made, the convenience is great. You know, I never actually consciously thought about repair vendor locations at all recently. I use my yak or just repair up any time I pass a vendor in town. I repair in town more than with the yak, but I couldn’t tell you the name of any vendors lmao.
