Power and charisma. Underdogs may apply as well though. If a character is really powerful but has no charisma they will still be pretty lame for example.

If they have a cute little companion they protect(or seek revenge for) at all costs- they are badass

Badass to me means extraordinary, competent, with a presence and gravitas.

I think the last badass character in WoW was BFA intro Sylvanas. They ruined her in Shadowlands. Also Tirande. DF really doesn’t have any character like that. Maybe Alexstrasza, but she’s really passive. She needs a moment of ruthlessness. Then Maybe Wrathion, but he became less interesting after he stepped out of the shadows. I think he would really benefit from being a political trickster.

I remember seeing a player that had their BE hunter mogged to look like the terminator.

Now I thought that was badass. I don’t remember how they did it but it was very cool.
