I know a lot of you don’t like me. I know a lot of you don’t trust me. I know at least ONE of you is utterly convinced I’m some anti-Classic troll trying to sabotage this game that we’re all excited about.
I promise you that I am not, and I am sorry if I’ve somehow given you the impression I was.
I am more hyped for Classic than you can ever believe. When I make posts in threads saying things along the lines of, “this is NOT going to be as popular as you think” or the like… I’m not trying to say it’s going to fail. On the contrary, I believe it’ll succeed. I want it to succeed. But I cannot in good conscience allow myself to fall into the trap of hope. It’s outdone me in the past, I am wary of it. And for some reason I have this compulsion to try to convince you all that it’s a good idea to adopt my mindset.
I am sorry for forcing that on you. I cannot promise that I won’t continue making posts based on my viewpoint… but I will do my best to appear less forceful in the future. You guys don’t deserve that kind of treatment.
To be fair, Classic probably wont be as popular as some people around here want to think that it is.
Though the potential up side if that if it did do insanely well, Activision would probably start getting some ideas. It might be better if it did well, but not too well =P
if you don’t like classic then you don’t need to come here read and post. I mean I don’t like retail and current wow but I don’t go create bunch of posts about it

… oh yeah I almost for got that existed. Right well if a game like that which is meta right now in the market is losing players rapidly…
Imagine what is going to happen to a 15 year old game. I’ll tell you. It will drop down to 10% of the initial player base. If there are 500,000 at launch I expect 50,000 stable player base by December.
It will take a huge immediate hit upon release of of Cyberpunk 2077.

And no, I have big plans for Classic. The only thing that’d make me quit would be either mandatory expansions, or forced character wipes every few years.
theory: it’ll be very popular, tourists will leave, it’ll drop off for a bit but gradually increase in popularity till its been out for a few years. then it’ll start losing steam till blizz either 1) reboots it, 2) adds an expac for it to progress into, 3) adds a separate expac, 4) makes a classic+
If people can’t stomach a viewpoint that differs from theirs it’s their problem not yours. We’ve disagreed about stuff in the past and I’ve taken no offense at you posts, It’s part of actualyl growing up and being an adult.
If the current generation gets so offended at so many little things then it’s better it happen now than they carry on such behaviour later in life.
OP’s post makes me feel bad, like he’s been let down so many times in his childhood and life, he can’t take anymore… so he has to reject everything and be the ultimate cynic to protect himself.
The only thing about you that I don’t like is that you just made an entire thread apologizing to, and seeking the approval of, a bunch of randoms who you may or may not have offended while expressing your ideas/ideals.
Speak your mind, stand by your statements, and just ignore the irrelevant triggered snowflake trash… They get upset about everything now a days no matter what you do, or what logic is presented to them.
