I’m genuinely curious what the better forums posters think about the state of rogue and what kind of meaningful changes we can make to them to finally bring them back from the stratosphere. They’ve been the best spec in the game for way too long and it’s not a balance issue, their kit is fundamentally antiquated and stacked way too hard from a value perspective in arena.
Overloaded CC. Vanish garrotes, cheap shot spams, disarm, gouge. It just feels like a lot in a way other specs just don’t have access to. Again maybe isnt’ the issue but at least something to think about.
Issue is there are so many things you can target that would bring them more in line. It’ easy to target hemotoxin as it’s objectively broken but remove hemo and rogue is still rogue. Consider how antiquated their kit is:
Only stun in the game that’s 6 seconds (other than dispellable hoj) with a CD as long as it’s DR. I understand rogue is designed around control but kidney feels antiquated and doesn’t match how other specs have been designed to meet the modern version of the game. If you give stormbolt a 20 second CD and make it’s duration 6 seconds does warrior instantly replace rogue?
6 second lockout feels less meaningful but also feels troll. Why do they randomly have the best lockout in the game?
Blind feels like maybe it could be reworked. Being able to just guarantee your own setup of 14 seconds (with relentless kekw) with the pace of the game is obviously uniquely insane. Maybe blind isn’t the culprit here but can at least be talked about.
What do you guys think needs to change to bring rogue down to earth after 17 years of just being better than everything
