Went to upgrade my gear on my mage alt, and all of my crest values were showing discounted by 33% (requiring 10 per level instead of 15). Mousing over the crest cost presented the same “this is discounted because your warband has gotten this high blah blah” tooltip. Commencing the upgrades indeed only consumed the stated 10 crests per level.
This is brand new, right? I’m pretty sure I upgraded a few pieces on the mage at full crest cost while my warrior was miles above in gear.
Wasn’t that supposed to be in from the get go?
I heard it mentioned in beta but I don’t recall a confirmation on whether it made launch. If it was in since launch, it might have been bugged.
EDIT: One of my static group members has been gearing two characters and never saw the discount before, either.
I knew I had seen it somewhere but Blue Forums posts left me short on info, it was Wowhead i saw it on.
Huh, interesting. Well, if it was in the entire time cool I guess but I know my mage ran out of crests super fast and didn’t get much from it my first go. Now she’s jumped 12 item levels. /shrug
It was but bugged out last week; it was returned this past reset.
Ah, so the stone discount wasn’t the only one bugged then. Last week was the only time I’d tried to upgrade on that alt.

does your main single toon have to reach the thresholds like 610, 619, etc ? or does it consider your warbound toons and all slots - for example; 1 toon has 4 pieces at 619, other alts have other pieces all at 619 - does that mean your achievement can be shared across the account? or does your one main have to reach the highest in each slot - which kinda sucks.
