I have this idea for a new void elf settlement that I think would go a long way in incorporating the void elves more fully into the fabric of Azeroth.
Location: Somewhere like Duskwood or Nothern Lordaeron or adjacent to Gilneas. As long as it is a dark and heavily wooded area, ideally on the Eastern Kingdoms.
Description: In deep woods that are dark and lit sparingly silver and blue. The deeper you get into the woods the darker it gets, and you start to hear the whispers of the void. Eventually you come to wooden gates that have void inscriptions carved into the them glowing purple. On the other side of the gate is a; starlit, classic high elven architecture settlement, with white marble, accented by dark blue, decorated by silver constellations sparkling and glowing. It’s basically permanently night here, think Ardenweald or Shadowmoon Valley (Draneor). Visually I think the void elves are leaning heavily into the existential spacial themes already, so I see this fitting in a meaningful way while still incorporating their heritage.
Contents: A school for those mages, warlocks and priests studying the void, a shooting range and training lodge to headquarter their ranger military branch for the hunters and rogues. There could be fountains, flowing water, a market and exchange, a portal hub etc… Alleria would be based out of here, and Vereesa and the remaining Alliance high elves would also be welcome to integrate here. Every so often you’d hear void whispers.
Anyway, I know not everyone is going to think this is cool, and that’s fine, but I just wanted to throw it out there. I’m all for adding creative content to the game that helps with character identity in a meaningful way.
