What if we make dungeons more exploiting. As in instead of it being a boss that drops loot more like mega dungeons, where we have multiple choices to explore and find loot along the way such as, chest behind A hard pact of mobs or before we enter said pack well have to clear a room and start a quest event just to clear said room. There are Many unique ways you can make a lay out in an mmo but it would be interesting change from plus to where we have to complete certain challenges just to get better rewards and if the grind is the problem weekly caps kinda like raiding could counter that it would be something like in season 2 at the start where you could find gems for your rings but more gear diversify an class specific. Hypothetically I’ll talk about a dk where let’s say there’s a plague half where you have to fight threw undead to save a small town and rescue the people hiding in there homes and once you beat the small ads there’s a boss you have to defeat taking this path of dungeon would drop plague specific trinket and or could be could be holy trinket. But that would just be one wing connected to multiple wings each having their own story To be intertwined and worked up to the last boss where it comes in. Maybe something like there’s 10 wings and before each dungeon. You enter you place a key to drop a spefic item class for you this way it would add more to the exploring part as people wouldn’t just focus on their bis but every boss may have their own drops but if you find a hidden chest it may contain your item that’d needed. just a weird thought
Sounds nice on paper. But here’s what happens in practice:
"LF [whatever class you need to access whatever part of the dungeon you need for the loot you want]. Decline everything else.
Meanwhile on the forums: "Why can I never get an invite to [insert dungeon here]?
Now multiply that for basically everything. Wanna go to a specific part of the dungeon for a specific piece of loot or story? Too bad. So sad. Tank is taking shortest route possible as dictated by a 3rd party website.
And finally we have the piesta resistance: “Would cost you other content to develop”.
So take your pick.
