A simple yes or no can this rig handle BC and or retail on high to max settings.
No. Also it seems horrifically expensive. Although I know the chip shortage is causing madness in the PC space right now.

No dedicated GPU, so no. Optiplex builds are popular because you can add a GPU and have a decent gaming rig.
It has no graphics card so it’s not even going to run Vanilla Classic at max settings. It might swing Classic with “Classic” settings at 1080p 60FPS but nothing more.

It’ll do a little better than the first one you posted, but it still has no dedicated graphics card so it won’t be able to max anything out.
FML… Do you know of any good ones, and I don’t know how to build one fyi
You’re probably better off shopping the marketplaces of the various PC manufacturers, Amazon has a lot of overpriced junk. What’s your budget?

here’s the thing I just bought a ps4 and a bunch of games and I am trying to save here and there for my Japan trip in April… so 4-6 bills is what I’d like to keep it under.
100% this, for it’s age and specs and price, it’s overpriced. you can literally pick pcs up like this out of a dumpster at some random corporate office building. the 6th gen intel cpu should of queued you in too as we’re up to 11th gen these days.
you’d get better performance from any current sub-$100 cpu by amd or intel, a $50 motherboard, and the rest of the 300 towards 16gb of ram and a graphics card (i.e. gtx 1050 or 1030)
great time to save up coins
That’s gonna be tough. Looking around at a few online shops (Best Buy, Dell, NZXT BLD) it looks like the lowest you can really get away with and still get decent performance is $700, but even then you’ll have to manage expectations - a machine that price will probably be able to handle maxxed out TBC Classic at 1080p, but will only be able to run Shadowlands at mid settings.
If you are lucky enough to live near a Microcenter, they frequently have some good deals on prebuilts. There’s not a lot of them in the US, though.
are there any in Sacramento cal???
There’s only a single Microcenter store in CA (Tustin). I always thought that was weird.
Nope - I have one like that and it was never able to run WoW on max.
Also, buying off amazon is going to cost you twice of what it is worth probably. If you want second hand you should be able to find better than that locally for half the price.
For example, the PC I have like that when I have a chance to clean out the harddrive will be going straight into the garbage (actually mine is probably better than that and still will be going into the garbage).
Emachines will get you a solid 25 fps.
That isn’t a very high standard.
