Bc tbh im sick of seeing the spam

Remove the name of the player.

I haven’t seen one of those in years.

Not sure what the confusion is. Ra-daddy drops an S-tier trinket so why not sell carries for that boss. They aren’t selling aotc and I think the price reflects that.

Probably because people want the fist weapon, the trinkets, or the staff? People spend more on less

Selling in-game services for gold seems like an appropriate use of the trade channel to me.

I see people in trade chat all the time listing carries they sell. One of which is often mentioned is individual bosses.

Ok, I’ll be the first to admit to laughing (to myself) whenever I see people paying for carries in a game. I just don’t get it but that really isn’t my point. My point is who cares if people want to do it? It does not impact me in the slightest. Yeah, I am sure there is some impact on the economy but who are we kidding there anyway, gold is a monumental joke as it is already.

We would bring people for services (Give me Sinew and I’ll host your guild website), but we weren’t selling runs anywhere NEAR the current level.

I’d say it REALLY started in WotLK with titles and mounts, and it was more rare than you’d think because you had to actually play the game to make gold if you didn’t want to risk your account getting permad for buying it, and you weren’t geared enough to be a carrier in GDKP runs. There were plenty of gold capped people, but they were usually raiders anyway. It exploded obviously with WoW Tokens.

To me? There’s absolutely no comparison in a pre-Token WoW and post-token WoW.

I will carry you through BRD for some funyuns.

BfA seems to be optimized to maximize carries. The learning curve for mythic+ is much steeper than in Legion. Powerleveling has been specifically made the domain of geared max level players. And the raids are horrible to pug, so if somebody whose guild has died wants AotC, they’ll probably have to buy a carry.

Is it a coincidence that raids are designed to be harder to pug, and guilds have died opening more demand for carries? Maybe.

I have characters on lots of servers. Most of my characters join random guilds so there’ll be someone around to chat with. Most of the guilds died early in BfA. On the server where I have the most Horde characters I started a guild just to house my characters. When I mentioned this in the forum I was told by a forum regular who supports blizzard it was my fault that those guilds had died and I would have been able to save every one of them if I wasn’t so lazy.

So more idiocy and toxicity too.

To add to this point, it’s significantly easier to buy a token for a N’zoth kill (a heroic one at that), than it is to do 3/12N with one group before they fall apart, just to reclear up to 4/12N with another before THEY fall apart, and eventually get to 7/12 with 9 different groups. No one has the time for that, or the care to do it.

LFR Nzoth is borderline impossible for these folks.

Everything absolutely pushes them towards sales. And guess where sales push the players?

Game: Players are TRADING gold for a guide and escort.
Real world: People TRADE money for a safari guide and escort.

Oh hi! Hope you got your vex kill.
