This has been needed for quite some time now…and there has been. Plenty of opportunities for this to happen. You can’t have one without the other…why have a sky golem that can herb but not a mechanical mount that drills ore? There are current mounts that would fit perfect for this. Just a heads up blizzard!

Item [Monel-Hardened Stirrups] allows for mining AND herbalism while mounted in BfA just as the item [Demon Steel Stirrups] allows the same for Legion. no comparable item for shadowlands currently though.
Yeah I know about those, but the novelty of a mining mount would be nice. Like that mechano scorpion with drills would be cool.
Not sure why this is not a thing yet.

Because they are too busy breaking every popular class in the game and neglecting the least played. Lol…should of been a mining mount at the same time the herbing mount came out…to be perfectly honest.

I think the devs already regret making a mount with one special capability, given the perception that this mount becomes “mandatory” for certain activities. Which is why they broke the waterstrider mounts and replaced it with the mount equipment system.
If precedent has any value, they’ll break the Sky Golem and add a “gather while mounted” mount equipment item.
