Your guild sound fine- But I have seen a couple LC guilds funnel gear to themselves and friends- a good ole fashion corrupt leader that ran off with all the materials- The leader gears up his first character and the Brings the multi box character in to gear that one- LC giving binding to rouge during prog…etc
DKP/EpGp was better for me during prog after that mess- I did prioritize points for 2.5 instead of healing items
But then after AQ- I was digging the performance vibes of gdkp and not being married to a set schedule.
You aren’t entitled to loot for showing up to a couple of raids.

if you will assume that people buy gold to buy items in gdkp or leech gold to sell it from gdkp then it’s perfectly fine to assume that people can HR certain item to sell it for gold to gold buyer.
tbc-c was filled with Chinese farmers who made grull’s run Hard reserving [Dragonspine Trophy] and giving it to people for flat price 30k gold.
the people in greens getting that was gold buyers and the raid maker was gold sellers and only god knows how many items from raids was HR for RMT.
