Bought a monitor today, then I got home and read the reviews that talked about dead pixels and that it over heated to the point the screen cracked etc. So I plan to take it back.
Looking for a decent, budget monitor. I don’t want anything over 24"(I currently have a 22" and honestly when I got it back in 2012, I thought it was too big over a 19" lol)
I don’t like big monitor, plus my desk is small. Video card has HDMI or Display Port
I want something that hopefully can last me years and cost me under $250 Canadian
27" LG Ultragear QHD Nano IPS 165hz 1ms Monitor LG 27GP850-B. Best picture bar none and a good size. May run you a bit over $250 but its well worth it and a great investment. I went through 7 returns of the top brands before discovering this Gem. Blew them all out of the water. G-Sync Certified. This one WILL last you a couple of years.
I have the 32" version (LG 32GP850-B). Got it on sale for $350 at bestbuy and its the best picture you can get next to REALLY spending money on OLED.
Thats not a gaming monitor man. Also at this point anything less than 1440p just inst worth it with where tech is going. The color difference alone is night and day.
This is the only monitor I’ve found for $200 USD/$250 CAD that has a resolution of 2560x1440. Unfortunately, the refresh is only 75, which you may see tearing if your FPS is faster than that:
